Customers say
Customers find the ramp sturdy and well-built. They find it a good value for money and easy to assemble with only three parts to screw together. Many customers appreciate its nice looks, ease of climbing, and ease of use. However, some find the carpeting slippery and hard to move around due to no anti-slip feet at the bottom. Opinions vary on the size.

Great sturdy ramp
Easy to put together. Just what I needed for my aging dogs. A lot easier on the joints than steps. Seems to be very well made and sturdy. I like that it’s made of painted wood. It’s not too heavy. Not too steep and very safe. I have a high bed and the height is just right, just a small extra step to the bed.

Well constructed! -Minor cheap home add for the perfect ramp.
Very nice, well constructed ramp. I like it. Due to angle, it is a bit slick. The dog is using it fine, but one review noted to get some non-skid surface from a hardware store and replace the carpet. I will probably do that. Perhaps that could be done in the next design. Purchase is worth it! Even if you replace the carpet. Also, please provide black and brown color options. ðCheck out the carpet on this item: BIRDROCK HOME 16″ Tall Adjustable Pet Ramp. That! Is nonslip carpet. But due to angle the nonskid surface might be best still.Update: I added carpet nonslip matting on top of the carpet the item comes with. Works perfectly! Itâs got the padding of the original carpet, with a little extra grip. Quickly and easily used a staple gun to attach the matting. (See photo). Itâs perfect! Additional benefit of space underneath for another dog bed. Lol.

Very sturdy and the surface carpet allows for sure footing.
This ramp requires some assembly, but I was able to do it just fine by myself (little old lady in her 70’s). I recommend that you keep a picture of the finished product in your head while you do it because the illustrations in the instruction does not clearly show the orientation of the parts you are putting together. Tools you need are included in the package. That being said, once put together, it is very sturdy and stable. When pushed against the bed, it is even more stable. The carpet surface gives a good grip for my dog’s paws and she has no problems scampering up/down while recovering from her TPLO surgery. She is a 60 lb mix breed with slightly short legs and she already uses a ramp to get in/out of the car so she did not have to learn to use it. A dog not having used a ramp before may need a little training.

No grip!
The incline was OK, but there is no grip at all with that carpet. I had to add a bunch of wood strips and skate board rails for traction. Overall it seems sturdy enough, but It is questionable whether it would actually support the 250 pounds it advertised . It felt like it was maxed out at 125. Also just keep in mind that this particular ramp is very long and narrow for high beds. Itâs as long as a king size bed, but didnât take up too much room. It was tall enough to fit a dog bed under it.

It Really Works!!
I searched, it seems, forever to find a solution for our 3yo 70 lb. Lab to get up on our very high bed without continually lifting her and straining our (well, mine!) backs. I chose this one because of the positive reviews, gradual and sturdy incline, flat platform at the top and affordability. My husband put it together with ease in less than an hour…it is heavy, so I knew that I wouldn’t be moving it around. We put this on one side of the bed, leaving about a 12″ space to the wall which made it less scary for her without a railing. I stood in that space to train so she would come up to me while being reassured but staying very close to her either petting her, tapping the ramp with treats on it to coax her before moving a little further so she’d do it on her own. Our girl was skeptical, for sure, at first but with a calming voice, lots of praise and either chicken or beef to coax and reward her (she gets that anyway), she made progressive baby steps as she tested it. It took only a few days! I let her go as far as she was comfortable each time and didn’t force her. Just praise and treats! Then repeat same thing several hours later. For the next couple of days, I still had to use some treats but less of them as she went up the ramp on her own a little further each time. Then, total SUCCESS!! And, tons of praise when she was on the bed! She doesn’t even go all the way to the flat platform at the top of the ramp…just far enough where she can climb up onto the bed with ease. It hasn’t been long and she goes up this (and sometimes down it if she doesn’t jump off the bed) all by herself without either of us even being in the room many times a day. The width is good although I feel like it could be maybe several inches wider, but it’s working. I think the proximity to the wall aids in sort of a visual railing. I read about “slippery carpet” and can see why some feel that it is an issue. So far, our girl isn’t experiencing that but I think, in time, it could be something that we may have to address. It is rather thin. I didn’t want to add/introduce something different to it at this point when it’s working as is. And, maybe it won’t be an issue. If it becomes one, we can easily remedy it and it wasn’t a deal breaker. We keep her nails trimmed once a month so I think that will help that she won’t snag it or tear it in anyway. We are both very happy with this product and I just figured that the initial cost is well worth it if it protects her from any injuries and us as well. She is a happy pup and loves snoozing on our bed with a big window for her to look out while she’s on it. I wasn’t happy about having a ramp in our room, but where it is located, it is unobtrusive and I can easily slide it over on our wood floors (it could easily be moved on carpet/rug as well) to either make the bed or change sheets. I looked heavily into a folding ramp, but decided that that, too, would be heavy and cumbersome defeating the purpose of straining our back. Love this so far and highly recommend!

My dog agrees it’s a stable well made product
My dog is a nervous one and would not try this ramp if it wasn’t stable. He needed very little coaxing to go up and down. The ramp was easy to assemble, looks really nice, fully supports his 75lbs without any wobbling or creaking, and the carpet is easy to clean. I would recommend this dog ramp to anyone.

our two smaller dogs took to ramp with little coaching with treats. Easy assembly, very sturdy and top platform is 25 inches which is just under the top of our bed, perfect for them to jump onto bed from platform. Incline is gradual with 70 inch length of ramp that rests up against the end of the bed. Looked at other ramps but this one fits perfectly. Good value when compared to other very expensive ramps.

Very well made and easy to assemble – maybe 10 minutes with one person, and required tools included. I have a higher than average bed, so most ramps weren’t high enough to reach. This one is a little too high but still works well and is more than sturdy enough for my 5kg dog. She always used stairs to get into the bed, but refused to climb down them, instead jumping off. After patella surgery, I needed a different option. This arrived at my door in Australia, shipped from the US, in about a week. Much earlier than the expected delivery date. I had my little dog going up the ramp on the first day, but she was a bit scared to go down again. After 2-3 days of persistence (and treato bribery) she now goes up and down on her own. There’s no issues with slipping on the carpet, but she is small, so I’m not sure how a larger dog would go. It was expensive, but the only other options of similar height were custom made and similar prices – but 6-8 weeks turnaround, and I couldn’t wait that long. Very happy with this purchase.

He was very scared at first. After half a day of training with treats and loads of motivation (me lying on bed and him wanting to be with me), he now runs up and down the ramp with no fear. the height of the ramp is great for most queen beds and i love the chic colour.

I searched for quite awhile trying to find a dog ramp that would be suitable for our 60 lb dog and I am very satisfied with our purchase of this one. The ramp is very sturdy and I do not find the carpet to be slippery like some others have commented so perhaps that has changed. The ramp easily stays in place but it likely helps that we have it on a rug. My bed is quite high so the height of the ramp is good but be sure to measure as it may be higher than the bed in some cases. My only complaint is that it is not foldable so it will take up a lot of space to store when not in use.

My dogs love it. Now they can get on my bed without hurting themselves. My cavalier who is 11 can walk up easily. No more struggling with her sore legs.
