Good concept
âGood Concept, But Has Some QuirksâThis GPS dog fence is a great ideaâno buried wires, no subscription fees, and lots of flexibility for setting up boundaries. Itâs easy to customize for larger yards, and the redesigned collar is comfortable for the dog. However, the GPS signal can be a bit inconsistent, sometimes causing false corrections or letting the dog wander too far. Setup takes some patience, but once dialed in, it works pretty well. If you have a big open space and donât mind occasional tweaks, itâs a solid option for keeping your dog safe.

Reviewing PetSafe Guardian GPS Dog Fence â We have a large property in the mountains. Normally, we are outside with our dog right by our side while on the property, but every now and again, we will get distracted, as will she, and she will wander off. She always stays near, but we canât guarantee that will 100% be the case, so I ordered this GPS dog fence.It was easy for us to set up with the map and it worked right out of the gate. The hardest part was getting the boundary drawn exactly where we wanted it, and even that wasnât hard. It works well and is highly responsive. We always know where she is now, and we donât have to worry about her leaving the property or getting carried off property because weâre alerted every time there is a boundary cross. The GPS is accurate unless she is in the forested part of our property, but that is to be expected. Weâre very pleased with this system. The best part is that NO SUBSCRIPTION IS REQUIRED! That is amazing.

GPS is Hit and Miss
The GPS is hit and miss, and seemed to have about a good 15ft or greater margin of error when I was testing it out. No way I’m going to confuse my dog with an invisible fence that randomly gets closer/farther away. I’m sending it back.

Took some adjusting- works for now
I wasnât expecting much from this collar. I tried a more expensive unit and it failed. But this GPS dog fence setup has maintained the fence perimeter and has had minimal false hits. It took me several tries to get the base unit and collar to sync up. I factory reset both pieces to get it to work properly. Now Iâm training my dog what the sounds and vibrations mean.

I like how you can customize it for your exact yard shape and you can purchase additional collars for more dogs. It also is subscription free and rechargeable. And you don’t need to dig up your yard.

You will not regret ordering this
This is such a great pet fence system. It works great. I am so glad it doesn’t require underground equipment. This was easy to set up and map. Best of all, it actually works. I cannot describe how excited and relieved I am to be able to give my dog some freedom to run and explore.

Quite a nice GPS fence system
I had another brand of wireless pet fence and this system really puts it to shame. The system has a much smaller collar, which makes it much more discrete. I have had this set up for a couple weeks now and I really like this overall. Like much cheaper systems, this does not need a subscription to anything to work — it picks up the GPS on the collar and then maps that to a drawn boundary to warn the dog when attempting to cross. As is typical of these they are not perfectly precise — I have found that it will trigger around the marked border plus or minus about 6 to 10 feet in general usage. The app is pretty easy to use to sync and draw the boundary, and it can be adjusted especially when testing where it is getting triggered.

We have an English springer spaniel Ruger that loves to jump over the fence. He tends to stay in the yard, but weâre still concerned if he were to wander and get into the road using this invisible fence hopefully will keep him safe.
