Perfect for guinea pigs
We used this little play pen for our guinea pigs and it works very well. Our guinea pigs aren’t interested in trying to escape, so it works well for us. I don’t think they could get over the fence, but they’ve never tried. It’s a great price and a cute little playpen.

provide more space for you’re guinea pigs
when i got my 1st guinea pig 6 years i did what every owner does and i got a tiny small cage not having any knowledge about guinea pigs. I learned very quickly how bad it is and just straight up common sense that those little cages they sell at pet stores are too small for these animals. If all they did was eat and walk 3 feet in either direction they would get fat/lazy very easily. Its the equivalent of a human being living in a small bathroom with barely any room to excercise or get air or anything. To make sure my guinea pigs had freedom i bought multiple of these playpens and i daisy changed them together to make thier house. so they basically own the living room at this point. Lots of room to move around and freedom. They are very happy and other than when i first got my guinea they never jump over the playpen because its too tall for them. This keeps them from going places where they shouldnt around the house such as near wires or anything. I’ve always felt they were safe in these. I did notice after a few years they got some rust (not sure if thats the right term) but it may have been due to the carpet getting wet (by where they drink water) but by this point i just ordered more since at the time they were so cheap around $10 or so. so these lasted several years before i had to buy more. not bad for a $30-40 investment. well worth the buy.

Works for SUPERVISED floor time; buy at least two for reasonable play space
I have a syrian hamster and bought one of these for floor time. I quickly found that the space the pen encloses is quite small and two would be necessary for it to be large enough for floor time to feel any different from cage time for my buddy . . . I still love this set-however- because it is so easy to fold, it is cute, and it is compact. It also is a great starter pen that you can expand as you see fit over time. I bought one pen four months ago for my baby hamster. Then I had two about a month later since he had grown bigger . . . Now- as a crazy hamster lady- I have four pens that I connect together for one GIANT play space for my Syrian. This allows my Syrian hamster to have TONS of space to run in a very easy to set up (and take down and store) pen. He basically can take over the whole living room at this point and I just block off areas that he could crawl into that would be troublesome (under the couch, under the entertainment center, close to cords of electronics, etc.) I will say my Syrian did quickly learn how to climb out of this pen. As I have made the pen larger, he has lost interest in climbing out, but he still can do so and will try on occasion. My hamster can get over the pen in less than 4 seconds when determined . . . yours may figure out how to too. So PLEASE use with supervision if you don’t want to go searching for your rodent around the house later.

It is easy to assemble
I bought this for our new pet guinea pig. I needed something to put him in while changing his cage. I wanted a safe place to put him where he wouldn’t be able to get away. This pet pen is a decent size so he has a bit of room to move around. It is easy to assemble. It folds really easy so it is great for storage. I like how it is colorful, probably doesn’t matter to your pet but it looks nice. The gate part snaps together well and stays locked, your pet will not be able to get the pieces unlocked, unless you have a very talented pet! The only downside of this gate is the height. It probably is okay for most pets but my guinea pig likes to escape. He can easily climb over the side of the gate and get out. Normally, this isn’t an issue because I don’t leave him unattended. But if I were to leave the room while he was in the enclosure, he would certainly be able to jump out and escape. So keep that in mind if you have a guinea pig or other small pet. They are able to easily jump the fence and escape 🙂 If I could change just one thing about this it would be to make it slightly taller so my sneaky pet couldn’t as easily escape.

Great for hamsters!
Iâve been looking for an alternative to a ball, which hamsters apparently dislike quite a lot. This is perfect for my little hammy, Bean. It rests flush with the ground so he canât escape underneath, and the bars are close enough together that he doesnât try to get through. Heâs really enjoying having a bit of freedom as a new activity and I purchased a second fence to give him even more room.Itâs definitely too low for a guinea pig or a rat, but great for hamsters.

BEST PUPPY PLAYPEN/FENCE EVER
First off this this was less than ten dollars, all I can say to that is thank you! I got this for my French bulldog puppy to use as a room blocker but i didn’t want to ACTUALLY have to step over it because that just gets annoying. Ninian is a 12 week old Frenchie and she can NOT get over this. I got it when she was smaller but even as she’s grown it’s tall enough to deter her from going anywhere and if she tries to stand on it its great because it will bend a little bit and bounce her back so she wants nothing to do with it after that. I also have a very mindful 75 pound American Staffordshire Terrier, I wanted the gate short so he could step over it but he’s so gentle i have to “open” the gate if i want him to be free but that’s probably just a weirdo Ronin thing.this is 9 feet long and 9 inches tall*cheap*effective*carnival cute (i plan on spray painting mine with black outdoor paint)*super easy to put away move carry (i mean it can fit in a girls purse/backpack) take it anywhere i want to take her with me

I like it
I was expecting to have to put all the pieces together but they were already connected which was nice. My hamster enjoys the time running around in the playpen. I would definitely make sure you keep an eye on them because my hamster is able to escape. Iâm happy with my purchase and would recommend.

Roborovsky…..
