Samoyeds are special and this book will let you know how special.
Awesome detail and explanations. Much of any specific breed book will be generic among several breeds. This is no different but it does bring out the differences about the Samoyed and why they are special. (We had a Samoyed for 10 years and just got another Samoyed Puppy.) The idiosyncrocies of the Samoyed breed are very well documented.

Loved this book.
I liked he overall information about Samoyeds. It gave very good detailed helpful information. What I did not like is when the book started talking about Goberians when it should have been talking about Samoyeds. It had to be an overlooked typo.

Fraudulent and amateur.Shortly summarized: this book is best used as a doorstop. Look elsewhere!
Poor editing, misspelled words. Also, there are clearly big sections of this book that are copy-pasted from the authorâs other books. This author publishes a ton of books on individual dog breeds, and there was a whole section of the Samoyed book that talks about Goberians instead of Samoyeds! So damn sloppy and many of the advice in this book is either outdated or offering conflicting ideas with other current material.I wanted a very deep dive on everything Samoyeds, and instead I got advice on general dog things, with a find-and-replace

Great insight
I bought this book to have more insight into samoyeds, since I have a 13 year old samoyed and plan to continue having samoyed dogs in the future. It is accurate as far as their habits, personality traits and little tips and tricks to make their life easier. I highly recommend for anyone thinking about getting a sammy or someone who wants to improve their sammy’s lifestyle.

Save your money
This book has less than can be provided by a simple google search. It contains very general information about dogs/puppies in general. I have a wonderful book about Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and was hoping this would be the same– it is not. If you’re searching for information tailored to raising a samoyed you will be disappointed. If you need a book about general care for dogs, this should work fine!
