Wonderful Solution to Pulling, Until He Ate It
We were given our first SENSE-ible harness by a fellow poodle owner, who swore that it would convert our pull-crazy year old standard poodle into a well mannered walker. It did, and the transformation was amazing. Before SENSE-ible, walking the poodle has been a combination of violent tugging (on his part) and virtually constant “No Pull!!!” statements on ours. With SENSE-ible, he trots neatly along beside us, pulling neither to the right nor to the left. And so it went for two happy months. Then, he discovered that he could chew the harness, and (in the process of destroying it) free himself. In response, we simply ordered another harness — two, in fact, we really like it. On the second day of use, while lying quietly by our side as we watched an informative video in a tourist center, he dispatched harness number two — no sound, no visible motion, just a shredded harness. We are not trying again with harness number three until we are in a situation where we can be sure that the harness will be in place only when the dog is in motion. My experience, I think, should not be taken as typical — at least not the harness-eating part. The person who gave us the harness is now on their fourth standard poodle, swears by the harness, and has never had it eaten. And, until our poodle became a harness-eater, he was a transformed dog — it was a real pleasure to walk with him. What we will do now, we are not quite sure. Hunt for a metal harness, perhaps.

Love this harness!
I love this harness. I have three dogs (50lb spaniel mix, a 60lb Dobie mix and a 100lb German Shepherd). I use this on all of them and none of them pull or choke them selves like they do when I use a regular collar. I recommend them to all my friends who have dogs. They are easy to put on and use. they also last a long time. I had to purchase this one after the buckle on the one I have had for over 10yrs broke. Only thing I would change on this harness is to put metal buckles on it instead of plastic.

Highly recommend
Replaced one that lasted over 10 years using 5-6 days per week. Unfortunately the plastic clip broke. Highly recommend this harness for no pull purposes.

Excellent Design but Flimsy Material
LIKE Used together with a collar this harness makes it easy to correct the dog’s path. Our German Shepherd is a powerhouse but she readily changes direction with the harness. It isn’t painful. She just responds well to pressure in front of her chest.DISLIKE We are on our fourth harness. If she is left alone our GSD will chew herself out of the harness in 5″.

It’s great as long as you accept you have to replace it every 8-12 months.
I really like the fit of this harness and the front hook. My Bearded Collie mix has a very small chest but big shoulders and this is the best fitting harness for her. I’m buying my third one right now. That’s the only downside – the metal buckles (the metal loops on the chest part that you use to tighten the harness) snap in half if your dog pulls. See the pictures – one is how it should be, one is what it looks like when it snaps. It has happened exactly the same way on both harnesses I’ve had. She is still secure but I notice the front hanging down really low. When I look closely one side has loosened all the way because the metal snapped at its joint. I know they have a version with black pieces in place of these metal ones … maybe they are better. Still a great harness at a great price if you accept the short shelf life (first one 11 months, second one 10 months.)

Walking game changer!
My dog is a rescue and the first day I got her she pulled like crazy and walking her was a nightmare. As soon as this harness came it changed everything! It doesn’t interfere with her gate and stays in place well. I’ve always had trouble using the easy walk harness but this one works well. The instruction booklet it came with said to gently pull up to stop pulling more instead of tugging back and that changed the way I walk her too. I have so much more control and it’s been a essential tool in training her to walk well and not react to people and dogs. The first few days she was still learning to be calm on walks so because of all of her extreme reactions she got a sore in her armpit, but I think it’s more her fault than the harness.

These things are great for preventing your dog from pulling on the leash
These things are great for preventing your dog from pulling on the leash. Any time they try to pull they get spun around because the leash connects to the harness at their chest. We originally had one of those “choke collars” and it didn’t work at all, our dog just kept choking himself haha. But this thing has worked like a charm since day 1 and we haven’t looked back.Only downside is friends/family/groomer/etc may have a hard time figuring out how to put it on the dog. We’ve had a ton of people put it on incorrectly.

Great Harness
As a puppy, upon the recommendation of her puppy school trainer, our Sadie began using this harness. It proved to be a wonderful aid in training her to walk nicely. Pulling and jumping have been alleviated. Even without the harness on now, she is sensitive and responsive to leash cues. In addition, I know that she is secure and safe in the back seat of the car when traveling with the harness. The harness is not around her neck, so that if an impact were to happen, she would not be strangled. She is tethered to the car by a 1-1/2 foot leash so she has room to move, sit up and lay down. I bought the new, larger size harness mostly for the car, but will use it, if necessary, for walks as well.

This is my 4th harness and I was hesitant because it looked so thin and small. BUT, it’s the best ever and my dog is not easy to fit, he’s a rescue from the middle east and is tall with thin long legs and sturdy chest. He can react on walks to other dogs but with this very sturdy, well made harness he didn’t pull me anywhere and I had no fear of him slipping out like he can in ALL the other’s I’ve bought (and can’t get them to fit right). I am so pleased with this purchase, it was the first day I came home and was so relieved. He wasn’t taking me any where, he’s super strong but all I had to do was hold the leash and he can’t pull me with this on. I had total control and he’s smart and just stopped when he realized there was no “Houdini” action happening here. I highly recommend and will to others.

Estupendo! Nuestra perrita ha cambiado totalmente su comportamiento, no da tirones y el arnés le queda fenomenal! Ha superado nuestras espectativas!

This is the second SENSE-ible No-Pull Harness we have bought for our very active labrador. The first lasted over 6 years. It instantly curbed her pulling on lead and if she is so extremely excited she does pull on it, it is easy to bring her under control again, mostly by easily pulling her round to face us.
