What a Lovely dog house, simple but strong!
Nice and easy to install. Though the design is a little simple comparing with the other, it is very strong and I keep it in my backyard all day long for my 2 little puppies. The materials are made by all wood and only the place it needs to be improved is the entrance area where may have caused wet area when raining hard without door. On the whole, my puppies loves it. And always like to stay inside if we donât call them out.

Looks good and easy to assemble, but runs SMALL
We have a 50 lb lab mix that we thought would fit in the large size house, but he does not. The roof is too low and the house is barely longer than he is. It was easy to assemble and looks nice, but the walls are thin so there is no way this would keep any animal warm in the winter. I would recommend for smaller dogs and get a size bigger than you think you need. I would also only use this in warmer climates, inside, or with a heater.

great doghouse
We should have ordered this years ago. Sturdy material, nice roof. Roof looks built to last, which is how our old doghouse died.

Disappointed – do not recommend
Got this outdoor doghouse for my 50lbs English bulldog. Should have taken the advice of some buyers here: the wood is quite thin and flimsy doesn’t seem like it will last long. It is not easy to install at all. You need to have a power drill to drill the holes for most of the nails as there are no holes and it will be tough to simply use a screw driver. The black top cover is quite heavy and thick and I thought it can withstand some rain but no it does not. My dog was outside and the sudden rain made the whole house all wet on the inside. He could not even use it for shelter from the rain. There it goes for $200wasted.

Better quality than most houses
Bought this for a feral cat group that we care for to give them shelter from bad weather. Large enough for all 5 to stay in. Construction is good for the most part with plenty of screws holding together the sides and flooring sections (slat construction) and looks good. I did have to replace the screws in the pre-installed hinge for the roof since they were loose and mostly stripped. Used larger screws to fix that, and would suggest deeper threads on any replacement screws you might buy and use. The floor slats are spaced to allow air flow for cooling in the summer and drying in wet weather. Would suggest using a pad on the floor. The adjustable feet are a nice touch to change the height if needed. The wood (assuming it’s pine since the house smells like Pine-Sol) appears to only be treated with a stain and not sure how long it will stay looking nice and not start rotting if exposed to wet weather. You might want to paint or varnish (marine varnish) the house prior to using if it will be exposed to wet weather. We are trying it without doing that since the house in under a patio cover that mostly protects it. Would also suggest letting the unit air out with the roof up after assembling to let that Pine-Sol smell dissipate which takes a while. All in all, a better house than most all for sale in local pet stores.

Hopefully this will be an “Indoor Shelter” from Scary Noises!!!
I purchased this dog house to put inside my home. One of my Jack Russell Terriers (9 year old/female) is terrified of loud noises (thunder, fireworks, loud cars, etc.). After years of her scratching at the walls/doors trying to “hide” and her latest…she figured out how to open the bottom drawer of our new gas stove and she tries to hide in the drawer. We have went to great lengths to protect our walls and doors…we had to have special wall covering installed and metal liners put on our doors to keep her from damaging the walls/doors). We even had a 1/2 door installed between our kitchen and living room so she cannot get into the living room unless we are home with her. We were very worried that she would hurt herself eventually trying to find a hiding space. We didn’t know what else to do so we purchased this dog house hoping that she will find it useful as a hiding spot when she is scared. We have been encouraging her to go into the house just to learn that she can go inside and lay down. So far she’s not interested. Now we are just waiting for the first scary event to happen to see if she’ll seek shelter in the house. I will post an update to let everyone know how the house is working out.

Worth the buy!!
Excellent doggy home!!! Built exceptionally well and adorable, also!! Spacious enough for my medium sized dog and he loves it!! It looks perfect in the back yard! The hinged roof makes it easy to get to dog bed and toys he leaves in there as well as to clean! It was easy to assemble and the slanted roof will be great during inclement weather!!

Poor design
Nice concept, but the wood is much too soft. Tiny wood screws ripped out of the hinges on the first try of lifting the top. I will make it useable by drilling holes, putting in bolts with a metal backing plate. The wood is treated with something that smells really bad. Make sure you unpack and assemble outside.

Dog houses can be expensive but for the size and quality i was impressed. A medium (40lbs) dog could fit nicely but wouldnât want to go any bigger

My dog canât go in itâs too hot inside with no other ventilation. Difficult for returnAs for return you have to pay for the return and once they get shipment they donât refund you and you need to contact them few times they will ask for your shipping receipt with tracking number. This is what I call spam. Treat yourself right donât punish your dog get something nice with ventilation

Roof hinges snapped after two weeks. Maybe 10 times of opening lid. Too small for medium size dogs. Suitable maybe for a shitzu sizeUpdate: the roof leaks now. Cheap junk .. not worth the money.

May as well have made these out of the cardboard ð¦ they were shipped in, the material was thicker.
