‘Britain’s top dog whisperer… a canine-human Esther Perel’ The Observer
Wouldn’t you love to know what your dog was thinking?
The truth is that your dog is communicating with you all the time but, unless you know the signs, you aren’t picking up on what your dog wants you to know.
Louise Glazebrook is a dog behaviourist, trainer and television presenter who specialises in teaching people how to understand and connect with their dogs.
In The Book Your Dog Wishes You Would Read, Louise tackles everything from bringing the right dog home, understanding body language and breed behaviour, responding to common behavioural issues, to the toys and games that you and your dog will both love.
Most dog trainers focus on the dog, but Louise focuses on you, the owner, giving you the skills and confidence to interpret your dog’s needs and behaviour and build a better, happier relationship for life.

The Title Says It All
I bought this book for my Kindle from Amazon when I learned that I was going to bring home a new rescue dog in two weeks. Iâve been reading books on dog behavior for a long time, and my interest was re-kindled when I had to say good bye to my 10 year old fur kid in November 2022. This book is written in a conversational manner, with information and humor interspersed. Louise Glazebrock is someone whom I would love to meet. Her chapters on adoption of shelter pets are wonderfully helpful. Great read!

Excellent Information
I am so happy I found this book as I was misunderstanding my beautiful Basset Hound TamTam. Louise Glazebrook pointed out so many things I was missing in my attempt to âtrainâ my sweet girl. Written in an informative and interesting style, I found myself entertained as well as educated. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get a dog or already has a dog. You will definitely better understand your furry family member!

Very Informative
I followed some of her advice and it was spot on! Really recommend for first time owners ! Wish she had a book specifically for puppies.

Great Book
This is a great book for seasoned dog owners as well as those who are looking to add their first fur-baby to the family. As someone who has always had a dog, I found I even learned a few things as I listened to this book. As someone who works with others training their own dogs, I was able to come away with more tools for my toolbox when helping my students.

this is for persons who recently acquired there first dog, the overview and title were somewhat misleading, i learnt nothing new / nothing about treating my dogs anxiety problems

Johan Herelixka –
An interesting easy to read book about dogs. A lot of things and advices that are helpfull.

The title suggests that you already have a dog, but a large portion of the book deals with choosing the right dog. Instead of ways to deal with specific behaviors, the advice is often “hire a behaviorist”.
