Turn a problematic pet into a lifetime of doggy love and good behavior. Connecting with your furry friend is not hard when you know how.
Ever been in the park, watching other owners playing with their dogs, while yours pulls on the leash, barks at everything, and behaves like a mad beast?
Are you feeling more frustrated than fun-loving when you come home to your furry friend? The mess, destruction, and jumping can grow tiresome super fast.
Do you wish you could understand some of this baffling doggy behavior better?
There are more than 90 million dogs in the USA today and two-thirds of all households own at least one pet. But most dog owners are not doing the basics so that they and their families can really enjoy their pets fully.

Things like separation anxiety (or wrecking the house as it’s usually known), leash pulling, and excessive barking often stem from a lack of understanding and doggy know-how on the part of the owner.
But we can easily figure out how to speak ‘dog’ and get the best from our beloved furbabies.
In this warm, practical, and often funny book, you will discover:The 7 simple steps/chapters to having a dream doggy and a strong, deep, and lasting relationship with your furry best friendWhy positive reinforcement can save you a lot of time and troubleThe secrets of doggy body language – what do those tail wags, ear positions, and paw gestures really mean?Ways to say ‘I Love You’ – explore the secret languages of affection your dog uses to express themselvesThe Zen art of dog whispering and top calming techniques to pacify a nervous dog How to put a stop to frustrating leash-pulling and transform your walks into real outings for both of youEasy-to-follow, proven guides to tackle separation anxiety, overzealous jumping, and all those other bad habits A treasure trove of expert advice from animal behaviorists and a clear guide to creating your own training plansAnd so much more.

Must read for all dog owners
This is a brilliant well researched book that I honestly believe all dog owners should read. I wish I had come across something like this when I first got my little Corgi. It covers pretty much everything you need to know when it comes to dog behaviour and training your dog (it focusses on positive reinforcement). The book will teach you, step-by-step, how to build a great bond with your dog, which is exactly why I bought it in the first place so I feel I really got what I needed. It will teach you how to create a happy dog, how to understand its specific needs (it even briefly covers different dog personalities) and help you deal with behavioural issues. The book is also full of beautiful little stories about human-dog bonds that I absolutely loved (from the owner himself, from people around him, and sometimes well-known dogs are mentioned). These really touched my heart and encouraged me to try to create the same type of bond with my pup.

Most wishy-washy book I have ever read
Quote from book, pg9 of Introduction: âNow, I am an authority on the subject of training a canine companion because I have owned and lived with different types of dogs for more than 10 years.âShould have stopped reading right then and there.Dumbest book I have ever bought.
