Take your searching to the next level
Lots of good, detailed information presented w humor and experience. Love the photos (both live âmodelsâ and claymation) to illustrate points. And no, âdog drivenâ isnât just following your dog around blindly, the book describes in detail the handlers role to KEEP it dog driven, and to keep the initial excitement you saw in your dog in the beginning, all the way thru the Summit levels. Appropriate for any level and any âbrandâ of competitive scent work (PSD, AKC, NACSW etc) As someone who has independent confident dogs, I learned a lot, and see many areas where this will help us. And, I can see how this will be helpful for those w shy or methodical dogs (wish I knew some of this 10-12 yrs ago!)Money well spent!

A wonderful guide to empowering my dog to be joyful, eager and fully on her game.
An enormous reason Iâm drawn to this sport is that it gives my dog the lead playing on a great strength that comes naturally to her. Yet, of course, Iâm human and the instinct to lead, instruct, intervene keeps bubbling up (when of course I have no great natural strength in scenting). Iâm loving the insightful explanations that are helping me clean up my own behavior and to better prepare and support my dog. Easy to read, practical ripe with examples that stay with you, a great and empowering guide.

AMAZING book!
This book has answered a lot of questions for me and given me the next step I need to improve my handling skills. It’s easy to read and the little pictures are clear and cute. It’s a great book and I feel anyone serious about Scent Work would benefit from reading it. Also, when you search for this book the workbook will come up and it’s AI GENERATED and not written by these authors so don’t be fooled.

I learned how to keeping the game fun.
I liked that they had pictures showing the different concepts.I didn’t like that some of the boxes are grey and have very little print.Hard on my old eyes.I learned a lot and this has helped me with my skittish dog. Showed me how to provide support with out taking control and the pleasure from the game.

I have found this book helpful as a beginner in nose work. It has given me a wider perspective on using my body correctly, in search situations. I didn’t realise how involved one needs to be to work as a team with your dog. I have a better understanding of what I need to do after reading this book.

I really liked the diagrams showing the wrong and right way the handler was leash handling and where their body was not in the correct position.
