WE LOVE THIS GATE! It is easy to use, easy to install and even has a feature to lock it. We love that the gate can swing both directions and is so easy to adjust in case it gets pulled on or misaligned. Wish there were a couple more color options but this is a gate baby gate! Definitely worth the buy, the quality is great, design is good and works perfectly at the top of our stairs.

Very sturdy and secure.
I was looking for a gate that didn’t have a bar that goes on the floor because I thought that might be a trip hazard. This gate was for the top of the stairs so I really wanted it to be secure. I am very pleased with the quality and strength of this gate and the installation was pretty easy. I also love that you can lock it and unlock it with one hand. I highly recommend this product.

Good Quality but Time Consuming to Install
The quality is very good, and although itâs not super heavy, it has some heft to it. That was the only reason kept me going, because the installation is just so time consuming for the lack of fine adjustments. I measured like 10 times, and even used double sided tape and zip ties to attach the hinges, some of our baby toys under the gate to match 4â under the gate everywhere, and assembled the gate on the hinges and adjusted the four outward bolts, but I still ended up with crooked gate after I screwed it down. The screw holes donât let you fine tune it, which is my biggest complaint. Slight adjustment to outward bolts at hinges will ruin all your other adjustments since it will move the other side up or down, so these screw holes should have slight tolerance to move around. I used Summer Banister to Banister gate kit because I didnât want to drill into our stainless posts, and that one has its own set of problems, but end result is pretty.Overall, itâs a classy gate, and after several hours of fine tuning, itâs almost perfect now. I even removed all the end caps at the center and replaced the front and back gate parts order so when the gate is open it stays flat to the side glass panels. I managed to strip one screw, so donât over tighten them: housing is plastic after all. I did a ton of research before ordering this gate, and for my 47â opening, there was very few options, and this looked the best. If you get this, install it on a day you are calm and take your time. Itâs not a job you can rush. Thank you for reading, and YMMV.

The best staircase gate
We tried the no still gates and found them not sturdy enough for the top of our stairs. We have a double banister landing so our options were limited. This gate is wonderful. It looks nice did starters, with a matte finish. It does not have an automatic close so I can leave it open during the day for my five year old to access his room freely. To shut it and lock requires a simple nudge. It’s easy for adults to open (push and lift) but challenging for kids to open. Overall simple and stylish design. Highly recommend.

Super sturdy gate!
I love this baby gate, itâs perfect at the top of our stairs. I screwed it directly into the door frame so it does not wobble at all. The door swings both ways, but there is a tool included so that you can prevent it opening in the other direction. The gate is very easy to open as an adult; you can do it one-handed, you have to lift up the lock, lift the gate up and push.100% recommend!

This is the best gate Iâve come across, and Iâve been using them for years! I have purchased 3 of them. If they are installed properly, they will function very smoothly. Though, I do prefer how their older model had a âstopâ on the one side of the latch so it could only be opened one direction for the purpose of stair safety. This newer model opens both directions.

How can I say this…
We’ve had this brand of gate for years, have bought several. THIS one, with the redesign, is a much appreciated change. It’s easy to adjust, and install. We use it to separate dogs at times. We have 3 dogs. Two female of which is a puppy and a 3rd dog, male who isn’t too keen on the puppy as he’s 9 years old. This gate will keep him in my office.I have it so it swings either way. Mind you, this model is meant for stairs, but to me it’ll work anywhere. It’s a trusted brand and highly recommend it.
