Best gate I’ve used. Tall, sturdy and safe.
I love this gate! It is taller than the average gate, and that is an awesome feature. I don’t have to worry about my baby trying to climb over it, but it keeps the dogs from jumping over it too, which I can’t say for the shorter ones. I also appreciate that it can fit a normal doorway, but it can also go much more wide than the average gate as well. Very helpful when I want to put it somewhere besides the doorway. Super easy to install and easy to use as well. I like how the bar clips down onto the other bar without any extra hardware. That’s a big part of the reason I chose this one. I love this gate and am so happy I purchased it.

Perfect size
I bought this baby gate to block off the top of my porch so that my pup can enjoy outside without the chance of escape and this works beautifully! It is very pretty as well. It is a great basic, no frills, attractive, sturdy baby gate.

Old-fashioned gate, but works OK
Not the most attractive, and I had one like this 30 years ago, but it works! Shopping for a gate that would extend more than 4 feet, there weren’t many choices. Most of the more modern ones had some good reviews, but also terrible ones. I remembered this type of gate, and it works well. Once it’s set to the desired width, it’s easy to use. And does NOT require permanent attachment to the doorway, which was a plus.

Just what I needed
I was having trouble finding a gate for my wider door frame. I have a set of french doors that donât lock so this gate works perfectly. It was easy to apply the wall cups and has been easy to move the gate on and off. This keeps my 18 month old safe.

I have a 35 inch opening and it fits just fine. The bar or the whatever you push down to push the gate against the walls is a little stiff but I guess thatâs a good thing. Itâs well constructed and itâs going to serve the purpose that I was looking for.

Works As Advertised But Not for All Dogs
I ordered two of these for areas we do not pas though often. I have ordered the gate that has a built in swing gate for the high traffic area but it has not come in yet. So we have to pull the gate out every time we enter this part of the house which has given me a good idea of the gate overall. I have no problem placing or removing this gate. It is very easy to me. For my wife she has some issues putting the gate in and will end up calling me to do it. We have a German Shepard/Fox Hound puppy and she does not even push against it so it works fine as a deterrent. If you have a dog that is dead set on getting on the other side I think it will and you may want to use an all metal type gate that screws into the wall. We had friends that had a dog that would go through any gate that was not screwed in. Problem was when they got a gate he could not push out he ended up eating a hole in the dry wall to get out. It all depends on your dog. Our last dog we could use a sheet of cardboard and she never tried to go around it or push it, she was a Saint Bernard. So you really need to match this to your dog. Even small dogs can be gate destroyers if it is in them. You do need to be careful on how much tension you put on the center rod. Too much and it will contact the walls and may leave a dimple. Too little and it will come out easy. We have found the perfect setting and marked the rod so it is easy to set it back up again without the trial and error phase. The frame is made of what appears to be a semi hard wood. Not as hard as oak is but still harder than pine. The center does have to bow out in order to put tension on the rubber bumpers. So for all of this I rate this three stars. It could be better but for the price and the dog I have it works fine. For those that have dogs that are hard to contain they do make shock collars that have small moveable transmitters that can be placed in a room and if the dog goes in that room or area of the house they get a slight shock. It is based of the invisible fence systems.

It works well
This gate keeps my dog securely in a single room. It is a small dog , 20 pounds, but would also work for Medium dogs as well. It was not easy to find the right placement for the leg to go into for the right tension, but the peg stays put pretty well when taking it down and then putting it up again. I’m barely 5 foot 1 and can straddle the top bar to step over it. The gate feels flimsy initially, but when you put the tension on, it stiffened right up. No way dog would knock it down or break through it.

Do Not Waste Your Money
I used similar gates when my kids were young and they worked fine. I got these for my grandchild’s visits. They are flimsy and hard to install, hard to operate. Just plain bad. We had to buy another kind of gate.

La barrera es muy fácil de instalar /desinstalar. Los sellos de goma que hacen contacto con las paredes permiten que se quede fija y no se deslice. El diseño es bonito. Los materiales son ligeros pero de buena calidad. A pesar de usarse en una abertura amplia, no se deforma cuando se le aplica fuerza.
