Great retractable dog leash
Excellent quality and functionality! The leash never gets tangled while retracting and you can fit six or so doggy bags in the opening. Very comfortable to hold and still allows great control with the locking ability. Highly recommend!

great leash, cheap light attachment
i love this brand, i have many leashes from them. they are very functional and go with my aesthetic. the light is very bright, but i dropped it on carpet and it broke in half. the light attachment is not good quality.

Best Leash!
I’ve used this leash for a full year now (Dec 2023 to Jan 2025) and thought to go back and review it since I use it daily to walk my 65lb lab. The large size leash has held up great and I LOVE that it holds 2-3 poop bags. I hated having the dangly bag holder on my old leash. I bough the flashlight that attaches to the leash but it fell off within the first week and i could not find it. Not very secure. Other than that this has been a very good purchase and if this one breaks in a few years, I will likely buy it again.

This thing fell off the back of my truck. Survived the road with just a scratch on it. Works perfectly.Amazing value. Very simple to use.My only complaint is the light just slides on the opening and doesnât clip into place so it can slide off. We donât use it. The opening thatâs intended to hold waste bags doesnât hold a roll. You tear off a few and stuff them in there. Not the greatest. But itâs durable and strong! Very smooth retract. Would buy again.

It is quit and smooth when retracting, and possibly could be tangle-free, but unfortunately, it doesn’t always retract properly. When your pupper moves around you when walking, as they do when they have to do their business all of a sudden, the flat part of the leash can fold over itself at the grip, preventing it from retracting. Although you can fix it by pulling out some of the leash to make it lay flat again, this can be annoying and potentially dangerous for your pupper if you’re trying to keep them away from harm, or from running in the road as a car comes.Pros:Comfortable ergonomic gripIntegrated waste bag dispenser!Cons:Proceed with Caution!Tape-style leash can jam, preventing retraction.Conclusion:Overall, the TUG Oval 360° Tangle-Free Retractable Dog Leash has some great features, but the design flaw with the tape-style leash can be both annoying and potentially risky for your pupper. Simple, low profile, effective.
A simple retractable leash. Extends 16 feet which is a good amount of freedom to sniff around and find the perfect spot. I really like the simple silly hole to pop a couple bags in. I use flushable bags and can get 2 in there. This works great. I usually grab a bag on my way out the door, if we are going for a long walk, I grab 2. Sometimes I don’t have pockets, so I have to hold these. Other times, I drop one without realizing it. Sometimes a passerby asks if I have an extra. So this silly hole is effective for holding a couple extra bags in case needed. I purchase the small, and the area is small, but as I said I can fit 2 bags easily, 3 would probably fit if I really wanted them to. If you use grocery bags, I think you’d struggle with one. Regular dog bags in the roll, you could problem fit a handful, so obviously it depends on the bags you like. The leash is comfortable to hold with the button at your thumb. Easy to stop or return your pet. Locks into place when needed. Although occasionally it seems to be in between gears or something and you need to realease and lock to get it to lock. Not a big deal for us.

Exactly as described, quite a bit stronger, more ergonomic and big enough for larger hands. Very easy to lock and unlock with one hand. Space for âpoopy bagsâ is a nice addition.

A great little leash that feels really well made and sturdy. My 40KG dog is going nowhere when the locking mechanism is engaged. Speaking of the lock, it takes a bit of getting used to. I’ve found that lightly pressing the button is more effective and the tether jolts back in quite violently if there’s any extra slack. When the dog is ‘roaming’ the lead feels super smooth and there’s no noticeable resistance which is great. There’s space enough for about 3 poo bags, which is fine – but not perfect. The handle and unit generally is super ergonomic and a joy to hold on long walks. There’s also no prejudice for right/left-handedness which is awesome!

We’ve had the last generation TUG lead for 18 months now. While it’s worked flawlessly, the inevitable fraying of the lead has occured.I cannot express how genius the idea is to have a small cavity to store 2-3 poop bags. No longer do we put clothes on and find random poo bags in pockets, because they only ever have to be stored in the lead itself!It also seems to have a smoother motion than our old one, but that could just be placebo.Highly recommended, and the poop bag storage is genuinely genius!
