Washes Easily
We have a dog who has spurts of incontinence (poor thing) so we bought 2 of these mats so we always have a backup if her bedding needs to be changed out. They’ve been washed at least weekly for the last 3 months and look good as new. Very slight shrinkage upon multiple cycles in the dryer but less than 1 inch overall. Made the crate much more comfortable over the thinner one we had and our girl started spending a lot more time in her crate to just chill and relax.

I will recommend this over and over. We just got a new puppy and we are crate training. Because we are keeping him in the crate all night, I wanted to get something comfy for him, rather than the hard plastic, but I also wanted something that would be waterproof and easily washable because, with a puppy, I was worried about accidents. I was also worried about chewing, so I looked for one of the cheaper mats that didnât seem like garbage, so that if he destroyed it, I wouldnât be out a lot of money. This mat/pad fit the bill for what I was looking for, but I didnât expect to love it.1. Waterpoof: As mentioned, I was looking for something waterproof because I knew the puppy would have accidents and I wanted to make sure that the pee didnât soak through and end up damaging my wood floors if it didnât stay contained within the plastic crate tray on the bottom. We are fortunate that we didnât have any accidents so I canât speak to the waterproof aspect, but there are plenty of reviews that say itâs great there. So that was one of the reasons I chose this mat.2. Washable: With a puppy (and really any age) I wanted to be able to easily toss this in the wash. It washes very well! I throw it in the washer by itself and wash like any other load. I did wash on the âlargeâ load setting just because it keeps its shape and you canât just stuff it down in the bottom of the washer, so you need the water level to be deep to cover the mat. We have a top loader with an agitator, so the mat needs to stand up on its side in the washer, if that makes sense. If you have a front loader then Iâm sure you could do a small load size setting. The mat then goes right into the dryer and I just dried as normal.3. Durable: I didnât expect this mat to be super durable. I didnât know how my puppy would be with chewing so again, I looked for a cheap mat, assuming Iâd probably just toss it after the puppy stage. Thankfully my puppy hasnât been a super destructive dog, but heâs certainly done some âdiggingâ and chewing of the mat and itâs no worse for the wear. Iâm extremely happy with the durability. If your dog is realllly destructive, Iâm not sure if it would last or not, but itâs been great with my 3/4 month old Husky Weimaraner mix (that we think has some Pit Bull in him too). Because the mat is a little more stiff (not in an in comfy way though) I think it makes it less appealing for him to even try to grab the edges of.4. Size: We purchased the small size for our small crate. I measured the crate to figure out which size pad/mat I needed. We have a standard wire crate. I think crates in general are a standard size and the mat was a perfect fit. *Please note that in the written description, the size of the mat is listed as the small size, no matter the size you selected, so donât go by that measurement.* Scroll into the description to find the photo with the dimensions on it to make sure you purchase the correct size.We love this mat and Iâm about to purchase another one for a new, larger crate now that the puppy is outgrowing the small one. I had intended on purchasing something nicer/more expensive once we went to a new crate. As mentioned, I thought I was purchasing something cheap just to get through the puppy stage, but we love it so much that Iâm going to get the same one in a larger size! Unless you have a dog that really needs something orthopedic, youâll love this mat!

I knew going into this purchase that the beds (crate pads) would get dirty easily, but I chose esthetic over that ð⢠All three of my dogs enjoy the beds, they donât get too hot even with their double coats. Iâd say they are quite comfortable.⢠the quality is good, the stuffing hasnât shifted around or made bumps in the bed yet.⢠Itâs definitely worth the money and youâd be hard set to find a dog bed this big for the price of this one at any pet store.⢠the size is perfect to fit in our gigantic dog crates and doesnât need to be scrunched up on the edges or folded over.⢠the padding is just about an inch thick, which I like.⢠it is EXTREMELY hard to wash! The bed itself is quite cumbersome and doesnât fit well in an average washing machine so youâd need to take it to a dry cleaners or industrial sized washing machine to have it cleaned. It stains easily of course. You wonât realize how dirty your dogs are until you see the bed after a week without washing themð

Perfect fit
Purchased 2 for Golden Retrievers. Both dogs donât like being covered with blankets and always seem hot. I needed a crate liner because they would wake themselves when their claws scraped on the plastic crate liner.Pros: Has a firm structure that doesnât wrinkle or shift with movement but is also soft and cushioned. Prevents their claws from touching the plastic. Soft material on both sides. Held up well after multiple cleanings in washer/dryer. My dogs do not get hot laying on it. I have not tried the other side that is to keep them warmer in colder months.Update: Dogs like both side of this mat. I flipped the mat so they are now laying on the fuzzy side and do not appear to get hot.Cons: I haven’t found a true con other than the size I have (XL crate) is a bit bulky for a standard washing machine. I do wash both at the same time to balance the load; it is the width of the product that I have to work with. It takes extra attention when washing to ensure the entire mat gets wet and washed. When the tub is full of water I push the mat down so the entire mat is submerged. The mat comes out of dryer a bit kinked but flattens out quickly when placed in mat, not lumpy.

Put this in my cat’s security cage I use when I am out and about (she’s a lovely loving playful companion, but she is a cat who will go where no cat should go in the home and use the furniture instead of her scratching post if she can get away with it). It provides comfort against the hard plastic floor insert that came with the metal cage.

Great dog beds. I have 2 puppies one ruins beds. She hasnât tried to ruin this one and the other younger pup has had accidents. Washable, and attractive crate pads.

I thought maybe the bottom of the mat would be rubber but it’s not…my dogs love to chew things and they already have this chewed up. Do not recommend for chewers.

Update 2: puppy is now nearly 7.5 months old and has been sick through the night a few times recently. The mat has held up in the washing machine and laid flat to dry another 3 times. Iâve increased this mat to 5 stars. If you accept that this is not memory foam by any means but a good 1-2 inch thick foam mat youâre golden. My dog still loves this mat and itâs held up much longer than I could have guessed.Update: The mat has already required a bath. I threw it in the washing machine like normal and now it’s lying on a drying rack to air dry and it shows no sign of wear. It washed amazingly well.I was wary given the reviews of it being thin or flat. But I was looking for a mat that wouldnât break the bank as I all but know that my 4 month old puppy will likely destroy it at some point yet. The mat comes vacuum sealed and folded so yes, I too had some lines in the fabric where the material was pushed âagainst the grainâ when folded. The package clearly states allow to expand for 24-48 hours. Iâm 12 hours in and it puffed up to about an inch and a half thick and most of the lines mentioned arenât as visible once the fabric is stretched out. Iâve given it to my pup already as her other mat got too small with her growth and she loves it so far. She had to roll around on it a while but now she opts to lay in her crate instead of following me at my feet. Do not expect this mat to be memory foam like thickness with great durability, it does seem like something her teeth with easily tear apart given enough tries but itâs going to do us great until she solidifies her lessons to not eat it or drag it from her crate when Iâll then spend good money for a life long crate mat.

If you have a greyhound, you will know they are like the doggo version of a koala. They rest most of the day. This Mat is large enough for my 35kg male greyhound to layout on with room to spare. it lives on the back veranda, and has survived mud, rain, sun and doggo rolls. The colour has held with minimal fading and it has no tears or worn areas. There is a slim layer of cushioning that is just enough to satisfy my spoilt 11year old doggo to lay on it during the day over hard tiles. It is squishable enough to fit in the washing machine when needing to be freshened up.Would buy again. Would recommend.
