High quality trimmer
I work in a veterinary hospital, and we beat the actual crap out of hair trimmers/removers. We have to shave fur around wounds (whether they’re infected or not), shave for surgical procedures, and do some grooming – we are definitely NOT groomers, but some animals require heavy sedation/anesthesia and require medical monitoring to remain safe – so it’s more of a damage control haircut than anything else.These trimmers remind me much more of a men’s beard trimmer than many of the clippers we usually end up getting. It has the plastic guards to manage length (rather than removable metal blades). They function ok – but it took a little getting used to.The good:1) Corded, so you never run out of power.2) Blades are sharp.3) feel solid, not too heavy4) Comes as a kit in a nice carrying box, so you can keep it all together.The bad:1) Corded – so you’re tied to the outlet.2) Blades aren’t detachable – can’t be sterilized3) comes with a “gown” like a barber uses – no dog or cat will ever need this.I don’t think these would survive the level of wear and tear a real groomer would use – don’t get these to start a business. For our infrequent heavy grooms, they’re holding up fine (home use would also be fine). The lack of ability to sterilize is a concern for me as a medical provider – but it has yet to become an issue.

High-quality and well-built corded electric trimmer/clipper! Works well on dogs and people!
Other reviewers have already posted nice pics of the clippers and accessories, so I won’t be posting more. That said, had originally gotten these animal clippers for use on a golden doodle which has worked extremely well. When using, the clipper cuts extremely quick/sharp with no snagging whatsoever and it’s easy to change out the various attachments for different hair lengths. Since this unit is corded, it is a little challenging as the cord can get in the way but so far it’s been manageable.Although this is an animal clipper, please keep in mind that it also works well for trimming/clipping human hair as well. Since the clipper was already out and being used, I simply gave a haircut to my son afterwards and it performed no differently than the standard hair clipper we’ve been using for years. That said, I believe animal clippers are designed with sharper blades and thus the animal clipper can be used on people but not vice versa.

Great old-fashioned clippers.
These are heavy and sturdy, like the old ones I had years ago. The specs say they are for light and medium coats, which is what my little mix-breed has – a light-to-medium coat. I have used Wahl clippers for decades for my pets, and used the people version for my sons when they were growing up. I was delighted to see that they are still made in the USA. Also that they still seem very well made. It came with all the usual accessories, including a nice range of guide combs. I was a little confused by the cape at first. As I expected, my dog showed no interest in wearing it, but I was able to use it myself to protect my clothing. Like my old Wahl clippers, these don’t scare the dog, and they don’t pull his fur and make him whine, either. I’m not very skilled as a groomer, but it did exactly what I wanted it to do. Everything worked just as it is supposed to. I’m so glad to have another set of Wahl clippers. I’ll never go back to the bargain brand I struggled with between my last pair and this one.

Great for home grooming
Iâve been using a set of Wahl clippers to groom my Shih Tzus for several years and theyâve recently started overheating so I knew it was time to replace them.This new set has everything I was looking for. It came with multiple blade guards and a guide to show which color was what length. The clippers themselves are comfortable to hold and donât get hot. The vibrations arenât too extreme either so the dogs are more at ease. Overall a great set that I expect to get years of use from.

Decent clippers!
Wahl is a company I have trusted for years for my pets grooming needs. I had previously bought wireless clippers, which was a mistake because my dogs have a lot of fur to trim and They would never hold a charge long enough to finish, so I would have to drag it out over several days. It was insanely frustrating. These did a wonderful job on my collie, even though they’re not meant for a super thick coat like she has. It did the job without losing power and now Kelly looks like a million bucks! It has plenty of attachments to cut it to the length that you desire. The only complaint I have is that after a while, about halfway through the haircut, the clippers started really heating up and we had to take a break. This has been my experience with other name brand clippers as well like this one. The difference is that these clippers are very heavy duty made. My last Wahl clippers lasted many years before it died and this model seems to be built the same way. I have smallish hands and the size of it was perfect for me. Not too heavy to hold for long periods of time. The price is reasonable for the quality you will receive. Just make sure to keep your blades sharp and oiled.
