Ferret Friendly!!
We LOVE our new backpack for our ferrets! We travel, run, camp, bike ride, etc.. a LOT, and since Iâm a crazy ferret lady who takes them everywhere, this product is perfect for our family! Itâs surprisingly comfortable for me to wear (light and doesnât collapse in on the critters) with my smaller build and short torso, however, the waste and chest straps are small and not ideal for my husband with his more broad chest and wider shoulders. Itâs not too big of a deal since they are roughly 7lbs>< total with all 4 in there soaking wet (lol the wee little bits that they are), and since we generally aim to only have 2, ranging from 3/4lbs to slightly less than 2lbs each, in there at a time, itâs no problem for him to manage without the straps being buckled. Much to my pleasure (and my little creaturesâ distaste) there are clips to ensure they donât get the zipper open and make a grand escape (good sturdy feature! My critters definitely put it to the test on our last longer car ride!)! It only fits 1-2 ferrets comfortably (though all 4 of mine like to sleep in a furry ferret puddle, so weâve had some shorter outings with them all happily snuggled in). I would only recommend to keep the water dish (included with purchase) someplace they canât get it until they get a SUPERVISED drink (they make short work of destroying that), and stuffing ice packs in the pockets in hotter (for them) weather (especially if 2+ critters insist on piling in). It has great ventilation, but with so many little warm critters piled in, it doesnât hurt to take extra precautions to avoid over heating. Weâre getting a second one soon in the hopes our little crazies will be willing to part in separate backpacks for at least some of our adventures! I often find them all in it even when we arenât getting ready to leave the house, so I think itâs safe to say they approve of their new ride as well!

Well designed and fit perfectly on my flight (Alaska Air)
I am in the process of moving across the country, and decided last minute to fly with my big cat rather thantake him in the moving van, to shorten his suffering. He is a big 11lb 14year old Maine Coon who is all bone and muscle- he has always been active and run thin.I picked this backpack because it seemed big enough for him to sit up if it was upright and stretch out a little when it was under the seat. He is nervous about new situations and loud noises and people, so I was worried about the flight. The bag came in what seemed like a tiny package, then unfolded and seemed impossibly large to fir under the seat, but it measured within the Alaska Air specified size, so I crossed my fingers, gave the cat a (vet prescribed) sedative, put him in the carrier, and headed to the airport.It wasn’t hard to get him into the backpack. In spite of being soft sided, all the edges are stiff so it holds its shape well and I could put him in from the side with it standing up and quickly zip it closed. The zippers are all double-ended and have secure clips to keep them from unzipping, so when he scratched at them they slid on the tracks but didn’t open at all.He was also reasonably comfortable in the bag once he resigned himself to his fate– much more so than in his usual hard sided go-to the-vet carrier. When it was upright the bottom of the carrier was big enough that he could lie down snugly in the bottom and sleep, and after some protest that was what he did while we were walking through the airport and then waiting to board.When we got onto the plane the carrier slid right in place under the seat without collapsing. Mickey complained about the change of orientation but quickly settled and slept through most of the flight, only fussing when there was turbulence.The thing that surprised me most was that when we got to my new place I put the carrier on the floor and unzipped it for him, and it became his safe “cave” where he retreated and slept for the first couple days. This was completely unlike his attitude towards his hard-sided carrier, which gets peed on if I leave it out!My big, crotchety, old cat gives this carrier five stars. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the purchase.

Great day pack, but limit the walking
I think if you are hiking somewhere and are comfortable only bringing a small water bottle, this would work well enough. If it was a hot, sunny day, not likely – unless I was at a picnic, but even then, I would probably choose a different carrier. GREAT quality though, which has been consistent across this brand. I see this pack being used more for urban travelling – walks to the park, travelling to the office, or errands around town. Comfort is acceptable for those kinds of trips, but I marked it down on that area because this was listed as a hiking pack.What I loved most about this back was the breathability and visibility for my kitten. The sides are all mesh so she can breathe freely and get a good breeze. The front is mostly fabric so that it would keep the sun off her on a warmer day. There is a flap in front that folds down instead of up, which makes it easier for her to poke out her head and paws to observe the world – a must-have for an adventure cat. TONS of internal space! Most cats would fit inside, excepting larger breeds – or a litter of kittens! Even for dogs, there is a lot of room, but I don’t know exactly what size range to estimate.

La mochila es buena y muy práctica pero debe considerarse para perros no mayores a 5 kg de peso. La mochila no cabe debajo del asiento por lo que literalmente tendrá que ir entre tus pies. Para un viaje corto no lo considero un problema pero para un viaje de muchas horas no lo recomiendo. Nuestra perrita es una chihuahua de 3 kg y la mochila nos funcionó perfecto.

Llegó en tiempo y en perfectas condiciones. Está amplia, es resistente está hecha, de material fuerte, no se aguada al usarla sà mantiene su forma y es muy muy bonita. A mi gatita le encantó su primer paseo en ella. Definitivamente excelente compra y lo recomiendo 🙂 mil gracias.

Great product and our kitty loves just hanging out in this even when he’s not on our back. Yes, it is true, the top part can cave down a bit, but it does not bother our guy and I haven’t noticed it touching his head. Lots of ventilation for breathing and so he doesn’t over heat. I also love the features of locking the zippers and being able to attach his collar onto the inside of the actual bag. More than enough room for him (although he is now 6 months young) and we can easily put a blanket in here to keep him warm during the winter months. Plus the bottom half of the pack is not mesh, to help with that added warmth (or shade) . Fabric quality excellent. Well made!
