Sturdy and Versatile
I have several dogs that need to be kept out of a few rooms in the house. These rooms have no doors and I didnât want to screw something into the jambs. Also my door and wood are dark and I didnât want some ugly metal fencing. I saw these and thought I would give the atty. love the simplicity of design and the lack of fussy hardware. Good balance and have enough weight to be a good deterrent. A super nutty, highly motivated dog could move the gate but most barriers are mental to most dogs. They easily can be moved and adjusted when needed. Love the dark color and the use of real wood. Against my dark wood doorways they disappear. Give them a try.

It is Smaller Than in The Picture and It Is Not a Stable Gate
I bought this gate for the home that we moved into a few weeks ago. It is smaller than in the picture and it is not stable. We have 3 small dogs and I wanted to use this standing wooden gate to barricade the bottom of the stairs for their own safety. Now Iâm afraid that this gate will fall on them. I do not recommend it! Iâm going to try to figure out how to put a weight on each of the piece that gets it to stand so it will not tip over. If I canât get it to work then itâs going to end up in the trash.

Overall it looks better than most gates and the free standing is a big win. But if you adjust the length a lot, kick it, trip on it, or have your dog slam into it chasing a toy…it’s game over. The metal gate fell out of its slot after my second time trying to step over it and failing. I used zip ties to hold it in place.BUT I think the constant pulling out and pushing in to make it block off different areas of the house would be my real negative review. It would get stuck and eventually it was permanently stuck and I could no longer adjust it. It died when I pulled as hard as possible to get it to unstick and the wood splintered off the track….sign

“I was looking for a freestanding wooden pet gate to create a safe environment for my new puppy. Unfortunately, this gate fell short of expectations, especially for the price.Assembly was easy enough but adjusting the width is a hassle. It requires unscrewing, removing, and replacing four screws every time I need to adjust the width. Worse yet, the screw holes in one panel don’t line up properly, making assembly or adjustment even more frustrating. To top it off, one of the panels seems warped, creating an uneven gate.While the gate serves its basic purpose of blocking off an area, the quality issues make it a safety concern. The loose assembly and unevenness could lead to tripping hazards or the gate becoming unsecure. Unfortunately, there aren’t many options for freestanding wooden pet gates, so I’m keeping it for now. However, I wouldn’t recommend this particular product to others. If you’re looking for a safe and reliable pet gate, I suggest considering a different brand or material.”
