After months of researching premium pet carriers/strollers we had purchased (2) Pet Gear 3-in-1 Pet Strollers over the years, each of which still look and operate like new even after years of heavy use.So when we adopted yet another shelter cat, we wanted her to have her own carrier but we wanted it to fit our existing Pet Gear 3-in-1 Strollers. No need to shop around as we as weâd already found the best â fortunately Pet Gear sells both the Pet Carrier and Car Seat Base separately so we placed our order.We get so many compliments, and requests to see the carriers and strollers, from almost everyone we meet in our travels. They are amazed when I show them all of the amazing / useful / helpful features that make transporting our fur babies easier and safer.Top features of this individual Pet Carrier: The fabric and netting are highly durable and somehow always seem to remain clean, unit it is highly secure (latches open/close, not zippers), both ends open!, all of our pets l o v e the wide open view yet still feel safe and protected inside, (2) tethers if you wish to leave the top down, the handle has adjustable positions, itâs lightweight yet sturdy â truly a quality carrier.If Car Seat Base is not included with your carrier you can purchase separately, to keep your pet safe while on the road. Best carrier ever!
Assembly of the frame and clipping the carrier into the frame are both very easy and intuitive! I used it for the first time today and it took me just a few seconds and we were ready to go! The design is super intuitive and everything is easy to use.I had the standard soft carriers before these and my cats would run away whenever they saw them. They only have enough room for the cats to lie down in them, which isn’t comfortable.By contrast, I set both of these new carriers out a couple of weeks ago and they both like to sleep in them! They have enough room to comfortably sit and curl up in whatever position they want, which helps make vet visits and car rides way less stressful. I took Mouse to the vet today and even though she hates the vet, the entire visit went much more smoothly than usual because of the new carrier. The vet was able to get her in and out easily, and even do her checkup while she was inside the carrier because it is so roomy and has an open design. When we got back from her appointment, Mouse took a nap in the carrier. She is usually very stressed after the vet and will hide in the closet for about an hour, but she was her usual self after about 10 minutes this time. Truly, this is the best carrier out there.The only thing I would say is a “negative” is that this carrier is a bit heavier than a standard carrier, and a little more bulky, so carrying it around is a little inconvenient, but honestly it’s not a big deal at all. Considering the significant stress reduction for us band also the increased car safety and ease of use, I’d say it’s more than worth it! If you aren’t sure about buying this, or if you have a pet who gets stressed out by being in a carrier, I’d say definitely do it. The materials are high quality and it’s durable and will last a lifetime.

Get these ASAP!
I bought two of these carriers. I have 5 cats total, 4 of them are just now 3 months. I can easily fit two kittens in these, or the mom and two kittens at their current size. I absolutely LOVE these carriers. I get compliments on them every single time I go to the vet. The vets and vet techs love them, as well as other pet owners. The ease of getting the cats in and out of them is wonderful. The cats aren’t afraid of them, and actually love to play and sleep in them sometimes. You can open the carrier from both sides if you want, or just one side. I love that they come with a base that buckles in to your car as well. These carriers make life with multiple cats a lot easier.

Perfect way to keep your babies safe!
I just love this car seat carrier. Can easily hold 2 small fur babies if under 10 lbs each. There are two harness clips which is a bonus. Solid frame and top is not flimsy. The car seat base makes this worth every penny. Feels very safe for my girls in the car. Highly recommend

Great car seat!!
My dogs love to ride in the car, but they want to crawl all over me while Iâm driving. So I needed something that I could confine them in for their safety, but also something they didnât mind riding in. These care seats are great! They feel well made and not flimsy. The mesh material seems good quality, so will probably hold up well. I do wish the dome top was completely mesh so they could see completely out, but as is itâs still a great car seat. My littlest pup is 5lbs and has plenty of room to move around and spread out. My bigger one is 15lbs and fit fine as well but if he were much bigger it would probably be too small or at least not very comfortable for longer rides.The way youâre supposed to buckle the car seats into the car wasn’t that great though. It just didnât feel stable to me, so I ran the car seatbelt through the bars of the car seat base instead of through those little plastic pieces. The basket part of the car seat has to be out of the base in order to buckle it this way, but In my opinion that secured the car seat a lot better.

It works. And itâs not as heavy. But I had a little trouble putting the carriage in with the bottom part. I think I figured it out. Instructions didnât have that part available. But itâs big and nice.

Just got this today and I installed it. Was a little finicky but got it done. The way it buckles in doesnât seem super secure and I feel like I will have to check periodically to make sure the clips are still holding onto the seatbelt. I have a 12lb Miniature Pinscher and she can stand and sit and lay down ok in it. Iâll have to see how she reacts on our short trips next week to determine if Iâd need to use her other crate for longer trips but I think itâll work out fine for what Iâm using it for. She just didnât seem secure or confident in her other doggy seat that wasnât enclosed so Iâm hoping this will make her feel a bit more comfortable as she uses a soft crate at night to sleep in and loves that. Same material really. So Iâll update this review if I have any issues.

We purchased this pet carrier & car seat for our daughters cat who travels in the car with her at 2 hour intervals, meowing non stop the whole way. This carrier is far roomier than our previous one, allowing him to sit up fully, or stretch out on his back. Being raised off the seat also allows him to see more which seems to help him calm. He still meows, but no longer the whole trip, and less frantically than before;)

I know almost all cats hate going in carriers, but my cat REALLY hates it. With my old hard-sided carrier, it took me over 2 hours to get her into it by myself.The vets have had a good chuckle at me because it looks so much like a baby bassinet, and it’s maybe a little heavier than your average hard carrier, but it’s so worth it. The open top makes it SO easy to drop your cat in and quickly close the retractable top. I think she also appreciates the extra height the curved design gives, because it feels less like I’m “trapping” her inside when I close it vs. putting the top back onto a normal hard carrier.The mesh is super sturdy – she got REALLY feisty at our last visit to the vet and was lunging against it and catching her extremely long claws in it and it didn’t budge. Even after all the trauma associated with going in it to the vet, she still sniffs around it and jumps inside once in a while when it’s sitting out. She used to be really traumatized by the sound of the metal grate closing on her hard sided carrier, and since this doesn’t have that it’s less stressful for her.The base is super sturdy so it kind of combines the best of both hard and soft carriers, giving her the sturdyness/secure feeling of a hard carrier but with the comfort of a soft carrier!One thing I would love is a lining to make it so she can’t see out, because my cat gets super overstimulated and I have to cover it with a towel, but for dogs or animals that like to look around it would be great.

I bought this because I wanted a carrier for my cats that would also act as a car seat. I don’t fly much, and when I do, have only done so with a pet twice because I was moving long distance. So I really didn’t care about FAA approval. These are tall enough for my girls to sit up and look around, and wide enough for them to move around and stretch. If I was travelling far enough, there’s even room to put water and food in with them. I took my 1 year old to the vet last week in it, and have left it sitting in the living room ever since – she likes curling up in it for a nap. Have you ever heard of a cat voluntarily going into their carrier for a nap? I’m about to buy a second one so they don’t have to share. I really love this product, but I don’t think even it is capable of convincing 2 cats confined together to be civil. One note: the price fluctuates a lot. I bought my 1st one at $99. Then it shot up to $129, and is now down to $106. (Based on linking from my previous orders screen)
