enjoyable, funny and educational
I love this book for giving me insight as to why my dog does what she does, or in her case doesn’t do. I skip around the chapters as needed, but plan to go back and read it cover to cover for sheer entertainment. So often dog training books are teaching basic behavior, but when you are working with a dog that knows basic commands what you need is this book , it gives you ways to deal with behavior issues way beyond come, sit stay. I know I will be rereading 10 Secrets of a Lazy Dog Trainer for years as I will always want my dog to improve and learn with me.

If you are looking for a dog training book that shares real life scenarios, that many of us with puppies/dogs can relate to, this is the book for you. The book is broken down into 10 chapters (secrets of training) that share situations that Kendall and her husband Chandler have dealt with in working with their clients. You don’t have to read the book cover to cover, but can pick out what you may be needing help with, but I would encourage you to read the entire book. Kendall’s writing skill is funny, poignant and packed with a wealth of information. I highly recommend this book for everyone with a new puppy, newly adopted dog or if you think you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

This book has opened my eyes to a whole new way of understanding my dog and the way that he sees the world. It also made me realize my fault in training and how I can better communicate with my dog my desire of his actions. The book is not only informative, but itâs very funny as well and entice you to keep reading and keep learning.
