Works great! Much better than our old one. It has double flaps which protects from the rain and wind and it slides closed on both sides which keeps bugs out at night and keeps raccoons from breaking into our house at night

Don’t fit right
I bought this door for my dog to replace the one I had for 7 years and was disappointed with what I received because it has a plastic guard that changes color very quickly in the sunlight.When I installed it it didn’t fit the door and left a gap where the cold winter air came in.

I installed this a week ago in our existing sliding glass door dog door insert. I had to modify by adding a 1×3 as this was slightly smaller than the original single flap. I like that there is a double flap and that it is magnetic. Seems to be well built.

I had to install this in a single sheet of plywood, so it required spacers to fit the designed thickness of the dog door. Worked well. The door has been in service for 2 months now without problems. I did not use the third, opaque flap.

Took a little while for the dog to get use to the double doors. Keeps the bugs and wind out. Wasn’t to hard to install.

I have put in a lot of dog doors over the years this was by far one of my favorite. Easy install, great quality and double flapper and slide closer. Not cheap plastic but nice extruded aluminum.
