Discreet Guardianï¼Nanny Cam Delivers Peace of Mind
The build quality is very good. There are 4 AC plugs, 2 USB-A and 1 USB-C charging port.You need to download an app called CamDuck. Installation is very easy. Launch the CamDuck app on your smartphone. Plug the unit into an AC socket. It will have 2 small leds flashing red and blue. After the initialization is complete, the LED turns off. The camera will be automatically detected and ready for use.It comes with a 128GB micro SD card, which we installed on the top of the device (requiring an opening cover). After the card is formatted, we can choose to record in loop mode or motion detection mode.With a wide lens, 160 degree field of view and a good image sensor, it presents beautiful, clear and enjoyable images. The resolution can reach 4K.With night vision function, it can be used normally in dark light environment, although the clarity is not as good as normal light, but it is enough for general situations.Overall it is a very good, straightforward implementation of the security camera. I’ve never seen this feature on a camera like this before.

Setup confusing, but then it works beautifully
It took me a while to get it set up correctly, mostly because my smartphone was connected to my 5G Wi-Fi connection instead of 2.4G, but once I understood that limitation (that only affects setup, not normal operation), it was resolved easily enough. The 4K video (viewed on my phone) is gorgeous, and the live response time has almost no lag whatsoever, unlike all of my other security cameras. The night vision works perfectly. The motion-activated videos are automatically stored on a MicroSD card, which is not included, but the device came with a MicroSD *reader* (that looks like a thumb drive), which was a really nice surprise that allowed me to check and format one of my old MicroSD cards from my desktop computer. The camera is truly hidden, so I suppose you could use it for nefarious or deceptive (and possibly illegal) purposes, but I have no such need, so to me it’s just another really good security camera. All of the USB ports work perfectly, and to top it all off, it’s a perfectly good way to double the outlets on a standard 2-outlet wall panel. My only suggestion would be to offer it in more than just black. The outlet plates in my house are off-white, so this black box on the wall tends to draw attention to itself. But all in all, this is a really great and innovative little device!

Overpromises and Underdelivers
This thing is not good. Its marketed as 4k but even in bright lighting the camera is grainy and doesnt look good. You also can’t turn off the night vision. So the whole thing will click and make loud noises as the camera adjusts to the lights going on or off. It also drops off the wifi and needs to get completely setup back up at least once a week. Very annoying. Next the app is garbage. It is about as basic as they can get away with and not intuitive at all and filled with spelling errors. Who did the QA on that app? You can’t delete individual videos to clear space. You have to either remove the SD card and delete them from your computer, or you have to format the entire card and wipe everything out. When you try to save a video, it doesnt save it into your photos on your phone, it just saves it into a different space inside the app. It makes no sense at all. Returning mine. Don’t waste your time.

Ease of setup and super quality videoï¼I am very satisfied with the product
One of the most appealing features of this camera is its ease of use. All I had to do was plug it into a wall outlet, then connect it to the APP with a very simple connection, and it was ready to go. I can quickly switch between loop recording and motion detection modes, so I don’t have to worry about losing anything important. Through this APP, I can monitor the picture remotely, and the picture is particularly clear, which should be better than other products on the market. The exterior design of this camera makes it much more convenient than other hidden cameras I’ve tried. Many of the alternatives are huge or require bulky installation, which makes them unsuitable for discreet home monitoring. However, this one is stealthily enough to fit in with other ordinary goods, making it unnoticeable in any way. I can easily move it around the house without attracting attention, which is exactly what I wanted.

Plug into an outlet not wireless
So, I have not been able to use this yet, because it did not come with everything you need to use it. You must also buy a $20 SD card before you can record on the device. I did not want to connect this to my phone although I might do that in the future. I just wanted something as security information when I am away from home. This is nothing more than a devise to watch your pet or nanny, of which I have neither. This device must plug into an outlet. Most outlets are at calf level and not at chest or eye level. I only have a couple of outlets in my kitchen that would work for this to be useful where I could place it and view both my front door and back patio door and that will have to do. If you are looking for something to watch your nanny or your pet this is for you and you can view it on your phone. Not at all sure if this will be useful for me. This is very large and would not be one of those secret cameras. I will update this after I get an SD card.

Excellent video quality, good night vision, is what I need
I recently bought this camera without an audio charger because I was worried about our pet sitter and I needed proof. It’s very discreet, which is a plus, and has a large angular field of view, but you have to be careful where you insert. If the location is bad, you only get a shot of the feet, not the human face.On the plus side, the camera has motion detection and can shoot sharp 4K video, even at night I can see what my babies are up to without getting out of bed. Plus, it includes a 128GB micro SD card, which is very convenient. So it worked really well for my needs. Overall, this is a good solution for covert monitoring, but be careful where you place it.
