Perfect Gate to Keep Puppies Contained!
I breed Labrador puppies and during their first weeks, I keep them in the spare bedroom, and when they become mobile and outgrow the whelping box, I allow them to roam free. But, I don’t want them to roam all over the house at night while we’re sleeping. I could have put up a regular gate, but then their mama couldn’t get in there to feed them in the middle of the night! So this was the perfect option! Currently they are 5 weeks old and still cannot climb over the gate and their mama can jump over seamlessly.I will add: it did not fit my doorframe, so I had to take the spinning mechanisms off on one side. This does not effect the effectiveness of the gate in any way. The side that I kept the spinning mechanisms on does the trick beautifully and allows it to fit tightly.Even when the Criminal Masterminds known as the “Chew Crew” litter of puppies (12 of them this litter) all stand up on it to try to push it over – they can’t! They also cannot squeeze through it which is amazing! The bars on it are close enough together.Perfect gate for my purposes!

Well designed, comes with everything needed!
In an effort to keep household harmony between our cat and dog during meal times, we decided to get a small gate for our pantry area so the cat could be at peace during dinner. We didn’t want anything gigantic, our dog is not huge and has no desire or inclination to jump. Please keep in mind, this gate is not tall (18 inches as stated in the product description), so if you have a slightly larger dog, this may not be the best. The gate comes with a main piece that has a small gate in it for a cat or small dog to get through, this has a little latch that will keep this shut if that is not desirable, we keep ours mostly shut to stop the dog trying to sneak through! Also included are two extension pieces, one is 4 inches, the other is 6. Both can be used at the same time if needed. Also included are two small plastic footers to attach to the bottom, this allows the gate to rest on the floor with no chance of it slipping down and actually touching the floor. There are also 4 pucks, these can be screwed (or maybe glued if need be) to the insides of the door and are used to hold the individual pads that help hold the gate in place. In our case, we didn’t use these. I found the gate to be plenty sturdy for our use with just the pads being tightened to hold the gate against the wooden frame. For our needs, this item worked great, the cat has his personal space, it also keeps our youngest from trying to get into the pantry and pulling everything off the shelves.

Works perfectly for what I need
This was easy to unpackage, it slips together easily and installed within a few minutes in a kitchen doorway to prevent my small elderly dog from entering the mudroom porch where the backdoor is located. She can easily get through the little doorway that opens and closes when I take her outside. It is easy to step over so I don’t have to be removing or sliding a gate all of the time when I need to go into that room.

Perfect solution for small dogs to avoid the hassle of having to open and close a gate
This was the perfect solution to keep my 2 Chihuahua babies from having full house access. It’s in the doorway of my kitchen, and I hated having to open a gate with arms full of groceries.

Works perfect for our needs, cat can get through & stops the dogs.
Arrived when I was out of town for work, so I can’t comment on the install myself. But my wife said she had it out of the box and installed in minutes. She says it was a breeze. The bars are wide enough that our cat can slip through or jump over to get to her food and litter box in the utility room. Keeps the dogs out of their food. Our dogs are small and about 20-30 pounds. If you have a large dog that can jump or ram this gate, I would say give it a pass. Though I will say if you have a very very small dog this won’t work either they might be able to squeeze through. But for us it is perfect.I’ve seen lots of negative reviews from people with large dogs or odd openings. This is for small dogs, says right on the description. Also it fits absolutely perfect on a standard door frame, you can even shut the door and keep all the animals out of the room when you want.

Perfect for little dogs trying to get away from a baby!
I have two little dogs, a 7 lb Chihuahua and a 10 lb Chi/Jack Russell mix. They are endlessly patient with my baby, until finally they just can’t take any more “gentle” petting and ear poking. Then it’s time to bug out. Now they can escape thru this surprisingly sturdy little gate. It’s just tall enough to keep the baby contained (scooting but not walking), and yet still allow the other family members to walk over it. Even while carrying said baby, a blankie, a sippy cup, and an iPhone held out of reach of the (rather grabby) baby – it’s a totally safe step over the top with no tripping. It was even able to handle a non-standard install with ease. I’ve installed it in the kitchen between a cabinet side and the front of another cabinet. Each bolt can be adjusted to an independent depth. Even though one of the bolts (the bottom one against the cabinet kick plate) looks like it is overextended, it still holds firm. The baby is constantly at the gate, trying to push her little arms through to get to the dog’s water and food dishes. Luckily, she’s a little fatty-poo. She has to make do with pushing little baby toys through as peace offerings to the dogs.Although it feels quite firm to me, and come with little cups that you can screw into the wall to help keep the gate positioned, I wouldn’t trust it at the top of the stairs. There was a strange moment when I read “Not for use with children” on the side of the gate. Huh? The directions clearly talk about adjusting for use with kids. Weird.Anyhow, great purchase. I’ll probably end up with at least one more for downstairs.

Nice Kate, unfortunately gaps to the left and right are too large.
Please see pictures, gate was the perfect height. Right through the gaps between the gate and the door frame. One side was 3 in the other side. Was 4 and 1/2 in Gap. Unfortunately I had to return it. There was one extension but that made the gate far too wide for the door frame.

Great for the smallest dog breeds only.Note the side gaping can still let a small dog or puppy through, I did however fix this issue with zip ties and fly wire, now removed but due to the side gap ive put a temporarypiece timber as she still fits through.

Very pleased with this, although of course I realise that how satisfied you are likely to be with it depends on what animals you want to fence in/out.From my point of view it was ideal, because I wanted something that our (plump) cat can jump over, but which our toy poodle (around 10″/26cm high at the shoulder and fairly athletic) can’t. And if fits the bill perfectly. What’s more it’s the kind of height a reasonably fit adult can step over without too much difficulty, and the little access door works a treat. Plus it was quick to install – pressure mounted so no screws etc required – and is neat and sturdy. You would need to use screws, though, in certain circumstances such as if it was installed at the top of a stairway. The only downside is that unlike a pet gate you *do* have to remember to step over it, that’s to say it’s more of a fence than a gate. But most pet gates seemed unsuitable for our needs, because they would have been too high for our cat to vault over.
