    Saved my cat’s sanity!
My five-year-old cat had abdominal surgery and came home wearing an E collar cone. He immediately escaped the cone and we found that he could not properly eat with the cone. This led us to buy this surgical suit. Let me tell you, it is a lifesaver. my cat is not easy-going by any means. It was relatively easy to get the suit on. You do the neck first followed by the front legs, then the back legs. There is a hole in the back so they can pee and poop, and we never found that he soiled the suit. cats are weird in that they will act like they don’t know how to walk in the suit for about the first day, but he eventually got over it and I think he realized it was a better alternative than the cone. he has been wearing it for over a week and no longer seems to mind at all. He can walk fine and jump fine in it. It seems relatively comfortable. The material is nice and stretchy. Just be sure to tighten the neck area a little bit or they will escape, which we found out the hard way one night. Overall, this is a fantastic alternative to an uncomfortable cone. If your cat resists the suit at first, give it some time and They’ll probably adjust to it. We bought a size large for him. He is a relatively average size cat and weighs about 12 pounds.

    Great option for healing kitties!
We purchased this recovery for our kittens for recovery from their spay and neuter. We did not want to use the hard plastic cones and both cats were able to work the soft cones off very quickly. These suits are cure and we really liked the cuff like material around the neck. It wasn’t too tight around and the rest of the suit fit well in a small. For reference both of our kittens had their surgeries at 5 1/2 months of age and both were between 5 and 6 pounds. We purchased two for each cat so that we could change them out every few days for washing and they were durable both through wear and washing. The Velcro closure also allowed for some measure of size adjustment. Neither cat loved wearing the recovery suit but they both adjusted fairly quickly. They were able to move easily in the suit and to successfully use the litter box without soiling or wetting the suit. All in all these recovery are great for protecting surgical areas while healing, they are cute, they are functional and well made for their purpose and we found them to be a great value for the money and far better than the cones.

    Lifesaver!!
This thing is absolutely AMAZING!! My 14.7lb male cat is currently recovering from bladder surgery. Knowing he was going to be on crate rest for 10-14 days and that being in an e-collar would be difficult in a cage, I looked into these. I’m SO glad I did because it is absolutely PERFECT!! Extremely soft, stretchy for putting on the legs, is well-made, easy to put on even my cat who is not cooperative at all, does not get wet or dirty when he uses the bathroom, completely covers his incision, fits him great even though it says it goes to 14lbs (might be accounting for long hair kitties, mine is medium), and finally the color options are cute!Tip! Buy 2!! It is normal for cats to accidentally release their bladder post-surgery. You’ll want a second one to change them into after wiping them down while the first one is being cleaned and dried. I’m so glad I thought to get a second one because I didn’t know this and it happened! One note I have is that I highly recommend you never leave your cat unsupervised in the recovery suit. Please change them into a soft cone if you’re leaving the house. The first day I went back to work after my cat’s surgery, I checked on him with the camera and saw on the last recording that he had gotten his back legs tangled in the recovery suit, managed to get to the litter box, but then he flipped it over on himself and hit his head on the side of the cage. Thank goodness I had a cat sitter neighbor on call who went over and checked him, changed him, etc. Needless to say, I never leave him alone in the suit anymore. He is able to get around the cage in the soft cone. He’s only in there if I’m not home or I’m doing chores etc. So he gets plenty of time on my bed in the suit.

    Great fit!
We bought a size Large for our 10 month old kitty, he is not so much chunky as he is very long/tall and around 10lbs. back measured about 15inch. It’s a great fit! With the ability to tighten/loosen if needed. Got this not only because we knew he’d look adorable in it, but also to refrain from him getting his recently spayed sister all riled up.He’s never been a huge fan of clothes, has had it on for about 5 hours now and is still acting like he can’t move. Hopefully as time goes on he’ll get used to it!

    Wors for RABBITS!
I searched for hours looking for a recovery suit for our large rabbit being spayed, and could find nothing but collars! Tried a collar and she went ballistic banging into walls ! That was a NO! SO vet said morning of surgery we needed a suit to protect surgical site so back on amoazon needing something asap and took a shot with this! If you have a rabbit being spayed look at sizing and try this . It’s going to be a nightmare getting it on ,at least for us! Our girl is big & strong, even after surgery!! The suit has a stretchy knit trim that’s adjustable around the neck, material is thin & very stretchy.s fits like a skin! And leg holes were stretchy enough to get around her big legs(I was shocked) and just pull up an velcro along the backside!! SO if you were like me trying to find a suit for my rabbit & exhausted with no choices, give this a try! Best of luck!!!! Here’s pics of our chinchilla/ NZ bun Willow!

Excellent for compliant girl kitties but, they can still get it off.
Please note that this is for FEMALE cats. This is a spay recovery suit. Only female cats get spayed so, it will not work for your boy puppy or kitty. Also note that you must measure very carefully, there is little to no ease in the garment. It would be much more helpful if it stretched a little more for ease of fit but, it is loose on the sides and tight in the head to tail measurement. This worked great for two days but, unfortunately, my girl hated it, was able to get it off, and now we can’t find it. So, unless you have a very compliant kitty, don’t get rid of the e-collar; you will probably still need it.

was easy to put on my cat but Houdini managed to get out of it in record time. The velcro is wide and good quality the material is thin.

My 4 month old kitten needed some major surgery that would leave a Plastic brace with sutures on the outside of his body. He will have this for 4 weeks. He was given a soft cone from the vet. Within hours of getting home the cone had him screaming. He hated it and was moving in ways that could injure him. I put a baby onsie on him and immediately looked for something just like this. As you can imagine a 4 month kitten who isn’t allowed to climb, jump and play was even restricted walking because of the stupid cone. The moment I put this on him he immediately perked up. I felt comfortable to have him walk around on his own terms with little worry he would hurt himself. He can use the litterbox with no issues and he sleeps very comfortably. I bought the small because he’s 4 months forgetting the detail that he is a maine coon and this won’t last too long on him so I have already purchased a medium. I cannot praise enough how much better this has made me feel about his recovery for a long period of time. I recommend this to anyone who has a cat with a tummy wound or even a back wound.

  9. Millandra

I was a little hesitant to buy but the large fits my cat pretty well. Definitely super easy to place cat into the suit. My cat is about 10lbs I believe and there is room for comfort which is nice.

  10. Laura

It did what it was supposed to do.The sizing was a little hard to judge based on size. My cat is about 7lbs. So deciding between medium and large was a gamble and it ended up being too big. The velcro quality is awful, constantly fraying. Which is dangerous when I just had foreign objects removed from my cats stomach. I don’t want her eating the strands coming off the velcro. She absolutely hates the velcro as it makes her itchy and bothers her. The stitching is already coming undone and it hasn’t even been a week. The material is cheap and thin, there were holes starting in it from its fabrication. Not impressed, I bought two different ones since this one is so terrible.

  11. K.t.

I needed this suit to cover my cats belly because he is licking it bald. It worked in stopping the licking, and also allows him to use the litter box, which is good. Didn’t seem to bother him too much. However the stitching is very weak and after 3 days of use, it is coming apart, with threads unravelling which could be dangerous if the cat ingests it. Can be fixed by sewing, but maybe it should last a little longer than 3 days?
