Great product, great service
I got this during the recent Black Friday sale. I have a chihuahua mix that needed a more secure house. I did not like typical dog houses that have gates for walls and I needed a door that wouldnât swing open since sheâs older and scared of the door for how many times it would swing closed on her. This house is perfect. Definitely not a bunny that is using this but my small dog loves it. It keeps her warm during the winter and is very secure and sturdy. It also looks great in the living room instead of some cage. Though Iâm not using it as intended, it was super easy to put together and Iâm very pleased with the results. As a side note, I got a call from the provider of this product asking if everything is going smoothly and if I need any help putting it together to go ahead and give them a call. Definitely a great product and great price.

Itâs orangeâ¦itâs not wood color. Itâs orange.
While this will hopefully do the job, itâs not the wood color that it shows in the pictures. They stained it or something with an orange color. Very orangeâ¦

Wonderful so far
I believe this little hutch is gonna work well for what I need it for Iâm using it for my younger leopard tortoise itâs enough space for him to turn around in and provide shade from the sun this hutch has very thin material not sure how long it will last outdoors but has a nice wide opening which I was looking for appearance is nice for our California weather this hutch will be perfect, I actually ordered a second one so my tortoise can have 2 spots in his in closure to get out of the sun and hide hopefully it holds up until he grows into another size I would recommend this hutch obviously cause itâs ve already order a second one but for what Iâm using it for and our cali weather itâs gonna work perfect

Great value Cat shelter
This small animal shelter is a good size for a garage, carport or porch to keep animals dry or warm. Assembling was a little frustrating as not all of the holes are pre drilled, so it guess work in places the pieces and it being even with the other side. The wood is light weight, the front closing clasps bent when screwing them in, but they still work find. When opening the ramp/door, it can be difficult, you have to push from inside to open as thereâs nothing to grasp. It looks nice aesthetically and blends nicely with the outdoor decor. It is large enough for two cat beds side by side, which our colony sleeps in two at a time, so essentially it will hold 4 of our cats. The bottom is sturdy and the top opens for cleaning, it also has a textured slanted room. This is staying in our covered carport area, and will provide warmth with their heating pad.

Eco-friendly, sturdy shelter, but requires improvements for complete protection and waterproofing
This review is for the non-insulated cat house version in this listing. This cat house is suitable for one or two cats, providing a sturdy and windproof shelter for outdoor felines. I appreciate that it is made of wood, making it a more sustainable option compared to synthetic fabric-based cat houses. However, the roofing material could be improvedâusing corrugated steel instead of the current material would enhance both its durability and overall sustainability.Assembly & Build Quality:The cat house requires assembly, which is possible to do alone but is significantly easier with a second person to help hold the pieces together. The most challenging part was securing the floor, as the screws had to be driven near the edge of a thin wooden board, a spot prone to splitting. I ended up not securing the floor board at all, leaving it laid over the frame, because it was cut too small to be screwed in safely without damaging either the board or the frame. Additionally, the hook placement was not pre-marked, requiring extra time to determine the correct positioning.Another challenge was that the roof panel was not cut and preassembled precisely. It was not rectangular but rather crooked, with inconsistent angles that make it almost impossible to fully cover the house without vertical gaps. Once attached, I noticed large gaps between the roof and wall junctions, which is a significant design flaw and appears to be the result of poor manufacturing. Although the walls fit snugly together, there are still small gaps along the seams and notably large gaps in the floor as well. To make the house truly draft-free, additional sealing is necessary throughout.Functionality & Shelter Quality:The house features a door that allows easy access for a cat when open, though it takes up exterior space when left open. Since the entrance is larger than necessary for a cat, I added a DIY entrance cover made of heat-reflective material to help retain warmth inside the den.The raised legs effectively keep the house off the ground, preventing moisture buildup from rain. As soon as I assembled it and placed it outside, one local stray cat moved in immediately and seemed quite content.Major Issues: Lack of Waterproofing & Insulation:One of the biggest disappointments is that, despite being advertised as waterproof, the house does not effectively repel rain. During the first rain, I noticed no cat inside, and upon inspection, found that the interior was completely soaked. The bedding and heating pad were drenched, with rainwater dripping down the wallsâparticularly on the back side of the house. This issue arises because the roof does not extend far enough beyond the back wall, causing water to run directly into the interior rather than being directed away. To temporarily resolve this, I covered the house with a plastic bag weighed down by rocks. Additionally, there is no overhang or shielding for the entrance, so rain easily enters from the front, soaking the bedding.Another issue is that when the entrance door is left open during rain, it absorbs moisture, swells, and becomes difficult to close until it fully dries. I have now covered it with a plastic bag to prevent this from happeningâa practical fix, though it detracts from the overall appearance.Final Thoughts & Recommended Improvements:Stray cats appreciate this shelter simply because they have nowhere else to go, but from a quality standpoint, it requires several modifications to be truly warm, insulated, draft-free, and waterproof. My plan is to:⢠Seal all gaps using a non-toxic, waterproof sealant.⢠Fully insulate the house for better heat retention.⢠Reinforce the roof with corrugated steel and extend the overhang on all sides, especially the front.⢠Utilize my existing waterproof heating pad, which fits inside. That being said, this house has held up very well over the past four months, especially given that I live in a warmer climate where it doesnât snow. If youâre looking for a ready-to-use outdoor cat house, this may not meet your expectations due to the necessary modifications. However, for those willing to invest time in upgrades, it can serve as a decent base. If youâre skilled in woodworking, you could likely build a much higher-quality cat house from scratch using better materials and design.
