Great camera!
This camera works great! The picture quality is amazing and i can view the entire room and watch everything my pups do. Bonus is I donât have to charge any batteries.

Surprised me
Iâm in the process of replacing all my WiFi cameras so Iâve been testing the main players in the $30 or less price range. To be honest, when I first opened the package I was not impressed. It didnât seem quite as polished as some of the other ones Iâm looking at. I gave it a try anyway and was surprised by some things. Setup was easy and the camera has voice prompts like some other cameras. The 3k image is great. My other cameras are 2k or less. What surprised me was the speed of the video coming up in the app. It is less than a second where my other cameras take longer to come up. What I didnât realize about my other cameras is that there is a lag and the video is not truly live. It is a good 1-5 seconds late. That might not seem like much but when you get a motion alert and go to check it, whatever triggered it is most likely gone by the time the video comes up. This camera had less than a second of lag. Also, the app allows you to show 4 cameras live at the same time and it brings them up all at once. My other cameras only allow one at a time and/or you have to open them one at a time. Since I usey cameras for home security, if I need to check them I donât want to waste time pulling them up one at a time. You can use a memory card to store footage instead of subscribing to their cloud service. This is a must for me because I refuse to pay for a service on top of the price of the camera. Also, there is a setting in the app to disable the ads for their cloud service. I wish it had color night vision at this price point like some of their competitors, but that would probably make it cost more and the speed is more important to me.

2k Camera with pan and tilt that is very affordable
RECOMMENDATION:Thumbs Up: 2K res and the Foscam app works OKTHE GOOD:1. The camera and the app is relatively easy to setup. Did run into a few issues â see below.2. The tilt and pan works very well and is responsive.3. The camera has a speaker and mic, so you can record sounds and also talk through the camera to anybody on the other side.4. The 2k image is quite good. Better than my Arlo pro cameras at HD res.5. The package comes with a small mounting bracket that twists into the bottom of the camera. That mount does require being screwed into whatever it is attached to FYI.6. This is a pretty good price for a 2k camera and this one works well.7. The camera connects to wifi over 2.4ghtz only, which is pretty typical. It actually monitors the connection and has a mode that helps it deal with poor connections, which I have in my house. That worked really well.THE BAD:1. There is no standard camera screw mount on the camera. That means your only options are to place it on a tabletop or screw the small mounting bracket that comes with it into something. That really limits your mounting options and should be corrected by the manufacturer.2. There is no battery on the camera, although the power cable is fairly long and they include an adapter in the box. The camera uses a standard USB C connector.3. Setting up the camera was not too hard as the camera actually talks to you, but like a lot of these less expensive home hi-tech items, there was no documentation to piece together the voice prompts with the install process. A step-by-step process that includes the voice prompts would solve that problem.4. It is not clear in the documentation that the login to your Foscam account and the name of the camera and its password are different. The standards and limits on each are actually quite different as well, causing a lot of confusion. In addition, the error messages that come up on the screen truncate most of the actual message and there is no way to scroll, so the error messages are next to useless. That is poor software execution and testing, and really needs to be corrected.

Not worth it
I was initially quite excited to receive this camera! With all the features it claims to have it seemed like it would be wonderful!… Nope!This thing is a pain to set up.It is soooooo laggy on the video.Can’t pan, tilt, zoom, etc. Nothing!The functionality is awful. And it’s basically useless unless you want to pay a subscription fee every month. In my opinion…. Don’t bother.

False advertising
This camera was advertised on Amazon as having dual conectivity including WiFi and Ethernet in the specifications and in fact even showed a picture of the back of the camera showing an ethernet port. I ordered it mainly because of it being able to connect to my network as a wired camera using the ethernet port. The camera shipped on time and I received it within the estimated time frame but when I opend the box, I found that it had no ethernet connection making it strictly WiFi connection.
