Gentle Creatures was founded after we adopted our first rescue, we’re based in Seattle, WA. Since the start, we’ve been committed to giving back to the local community, including regular product donations to the rescue agency that we adopted from. And we’re working hard to increase the number of our products made in the USA.
How did we get our start?
In 2019, after adopting our first rescue dog, we bought several harnesses to encourage better walking. But training harnesses fit loose, and she escaped several times, which sure gave us a fright! And so, the idea for the first Collar Companion was born.

Worth It for Peace of Mind
This product has honestly reduced my stress by at least 60%. Our puppy has a tendency to get excited and lunge towards things and has slipped multiple harnesses with her Houdini like power. This little device has kept her from escaping us by slipping her harness.Itâs not âprettyâ per se, but honestly I donât care about its appearance. Both ends feature clips so you can attach it to your dogs collar and their harness to give you 2 points of connections. Very easy to use, not too heavy, durable, and adjustable so one size fits all. Overall, helpful and great product!

Love the extra security
This is so easy to use, and the quality is very good. I like feeling more secure when walking my dog. It actually came in quite handy during one of the walks when he was startled by something. Having this kept him safe with me. For the price I would highly recommend.

Better then a D ring
We love this. We have used the D ring in the past and the older we get the harder it is to find the D ring while trying to get her ready to walk. No wear and tear issues for us. Quality seems good. We have bought two for our dogs and will buy more if necessary!

What a wonderful item to further protect my dog from getting loose on a walk. I have a 100lb very young dog. And while mostly trained sometimes he wants to pull when he sees really small dogs and deer. I have him on a gentle lead and love that I can clip this onto the base of the leash and his regular collar as well. If he slips the gentle lead I can still keep him from taking off. My only issue with this is I had him out front on a 30ft lead and the other end on a post. He isn’t used to being on a lead in our yard so he decided to get the “zoomies” and it happend so fast. He hit the end of that lead and the plastic adjustment part snapped. But 100lb of pup hitting the end of that lead and hard! I can see how that small plastic piece would not hold up. Well I like the product still for the use of our daily walks. So I bought another. I just wish that small part would be made of some kind of metal. But all in all a great product.

Peace of Mind– The Extra Protection was NEEDED!
Our Puppy has been nicknamed Harry Houndini and Escape Artist for her ability to wriggle out of the best fitting of harnesses. We use this to add an extra layer of protection should that moment arise again. Gives us a few spare seconds to regain control of the situation before she has the ability to run.This is really a MUST for all of Us that walk our furry friends with a harness. Does not tug on the collar– UNLESS they pull off the vest. I highly recommend (if leash permits) that you link this from the collar to the leash above the clip area (usually another loop there). That way if the Clip fails you have yet another back up.HUGE Peace of Mind when walking my Pup! I’ll even continue to use when she is trained and well behaved. You never know when they will get spooked and get a Zoomie Moment that ends badly.

Ease of use is very easy. Training is easier now that i have control of neck and harness. Value of money is worth it. Full Functional with any harness. Comfort wise doesnât really bother my dog.

Works Like A Charm
Looked high and low in local pet stores for this to no avail. It adds peace of mind by securing my dog’s harness to his collar in case he somehow slipped out of his harness. I saw it happen to another dog and its owner chased him all over the place! I didn’t want that to happen to me and my dog.

Purchased for our rescue husky mix. We require a harness to walk her but I worry about her getting out of the harness and love the added security of the collar companion attached to her collar. Her recall is non existent currently.
