The Original Himalayan Dog Chew is a very long lasting dog chew. Himalayan Dog Chews are made by boiling yak and cow milk and then dried for several weeks to create a hard chew. Dogs must work the end of the treat for hours, softening it with their mouths before small parts of it can be slowly scraped off. It is 100-percent natural with no preservatives. It is an authentic type of cheese eaten by the people of the Himalayas. When you give this Himalayan Dog Chew to your dog, you know that you are providing them with hours of high quality eating entertainment. Packaged by weight, quantities and size vary.

YAK CHEESE HIMALAYAN DOG CHEWS: We specially make our dog chews with an ancient Himalayan recipe from the mountains of Nepal. Each Himalayan dog chew is expertly hand crafted by artisans using ancient techniques passed down through families for hundreds of years.
JUST CHEESE: This is a totally natural and very nutritious dog treat made with no binding agents, preservatives or additives. We make our Himalayan yak chews from yak’s and cow’s milk with a curing process that removes lactose, allowing the yak chews to be gentle on sensitive stomachs.
DOG CHEWS LONG LASTING: When you give a Himalayan dog chew to your dog, you know that you are providing them with quality chewing entertainment. Our long lasting dog chews can help to keep even the most aggressive chewers busy as dogs must work the end of the yak chew for hours, softening it with their mouths before slowly chewing small pieces off.
THE BETTER-FOR-YOU CHEW: The easily digestible Himalayan dog chews are better digested than standard rawhide chews and bully sticks. The dog snacks are lactose free, grain free, and gluten free making them easily digestible for any kind of dog breed.
ORIGINAL CHEESE FLAVOR: Included is a mix of three large & extra large 3.3 oz original cheese flavored Himalayan yak cheese sticks ideal for dogs 65 pounds and smaller, not for dogs younger than 12 weeks.
Customers say
Customers find the dog chews to be a good alternative for active chewers. They appreciate the texture and long-lasting nature of the chews, making them perfect for active chewers. The chews are a consumable product that lasts longer, and customers like that it’s a natural product and not wasteful like animal bones. While some customers find the chews great for occupied time and chewing time, others disagree on breakability, value for money, smell, and safety.

Great for my chewer!
My pug is a MAJOR chewer. I wasn’t feeling great about all the vinyl in bark boxes, or antlers being SO impossibly tough. He will devour bully sticks in a matter of an hour, and he gnaws like crazy. I was looking for something that would ultimately satiate his chewing without being plastic, or so hard it would break his little teeth. These are PERFECT. He’s a 20 lb pug and one of these lasts a good 2-3 weeks. Highly recommend!

Worth every penny! Long lasting ‘Yak Cheese’ dog chews
Our dog absolutely adores these ‘Himalayan Dog’ Chew Yak Cheese chews and they are worth every penny. He’s a goldendoodle and has been a bit of a super-chewer since his adult teeth came in last winter. We noticed how quickly he was going through No-Hide chews & bully sticks and wanted to find a more economical and longer-lasting alternative that would be safe* (*DO always supervise your pet with treats & chew toys like these) and gentle on his belly. Out of the package, these ‘chews’ are rock hard (they’re meant to be)âthey feel like a hard sugar candy and have a light ‘cheesy’ smell that will likely appeal to your pup. (It’s not overwhelming.) Your dog will gradually chip small pieces off and be able to crunch them up, but they shouldn’t be able to crack the whole thing in half. But like a hard candy, it will shatter into smaller pieces if hit with enough force. You can actually microwave pieces of Yak Chew and in about 30-60 seconds it will PUFF into a cheese puff that your dog can crunch up as a snack! (*It will be hot. Let cool fully before giving to your pup!) This is a great way to use up the end of the chew when it gets too small & becomes a choking hazard. Microwaving a Yak Chew releases all its cheesy aromas during the puff processâfair warning, your dog will be VERY interested in the smell. These have been a winner in our house and usually last for a couple weeks before the dog whittles them down. Once it’s small enough (or if a large piece breaks off), we pop it into the microwave and our little buddy gets a cheese puff treat. Win-win!

My puppies love these!!!
Both of my puppies absolutely love the Yak Cheese treats! These chews are a perfect special treat that keeps them engaged for a while. Theyâre durable, long-lasting and I love that theyâre made with natural ingredients. The texture is great, and itâs a nice alternative to other chews. I feel good about giving them these, knowing theyâre safe and healthy. Highly recommend these for any dog owner looking for a delicious, satisfying treat for their pups!

hard dog chews?
Our dog loves these chews. The last order on November 22nd most of the chews broke apart way too easycompared to others we have ordered. Also trying to soften per your instruction they do not soften like we think they will. Not expecting them to fall apart or as soft as a marsh mellow. This number stamped on package may help you LOO25849, T10::02.

Tasty and fun
The dogs favorite long lasting cheesy bone. If you can get the end of it away from the dog you can soak it in water and place in microwave to turn it into a cheesy puff! Dogs also love this. Good treat for heavy chewers.

BEST CHEW EVER
I highly recommend purchasing this item if you have a pup who hasnât taken to any toy or bone youâve given them before. I will absolutely be purchasing more of these – I bought the two pack on January 1st and my dog has already worked through 1 and is working on the second one. I have a border collie mix dog who is about 5/6 years old. She was a rescue from a puppy mill in Alabama and my assumptions are that she did have a good day while she was there. She was so afraid and timid of quite literally EVERYTHING when I got her – she would stay in the living room all day and didnât dare make her way down the hallway to the bedrooms. A lot of patience and love later and I donât sleep a night without her in my room. As a rescue, she didnât know a life that involved toys or chews and didnât know how to enjoy them. Iâve tried MANY different types of toys and chews (evidenced by the overflowing basket of dog toys in the background) because I want her to chew because it helps support dental health by scraping plaque from her teeth. This is FINALLY a chew that she has enjoyed and it provides stimulation throughout the day which I believe is helping ease her anxiety, too.

No bone/chewing thingy lasts more than 5min with our pooch. I absolutely adore these yak chews. They are long (6â), and thick (1.5â). Very grateful for this product, pooch loves them!

Fantastic chews, expensive, shame they are not marketed here by company to get the price down! I found these in the USA , bought them home and my puppy loves them, it’s taken 4 weeks and still my dog hasn’t made a huge dent in it , it keeps her amused for hours and doesn’t upset her stomach, considering how sharp her puppy teeth are its great they last so long and they do help to stop her chewing other things!

I have two dogs, a one-year-old 35 pound, and a six-year-old 25 pound. Both are very aggressive chewers and I find these work great. I have a “routine” that seems to work well: 1) I store them in the fridge so they are even harder, and 2) I only let them chew them for 20-30 mins per night. After the chew session, I collect them and put them in a ziplock and back in the fridge. In this way, the dogs get three or four nights of chewing fun. They enjoy them, they are much safer than a lot of other chew items, and you can microwave the leftover nubs to feed them as cheese once they cool (be careful because they are too hot to give them right after heating). I believe they are worth the price, but I wish they came in a four-pack! I am a bit distressed that the price has gone up 15% in the past week, though.

These are wonderful. I bought a pack of three and my terrier is still on the first one which has about an inch left. She’s 6mths now and it did take her a while to be able to chew it so I probably should have bought her the thinner ones. But know her jaw is strong enough she’s getting on really well with it. It keeps her occupied for ages, grating off the tiny little bits. Happy to recommend to those who have dogs that very quickly chew everything you give them. They make a nice change from meat products.

I’m not sure how long it was supposed to last, but with my super chewer it was down to the the last couple of inches in a couple of days. On the whole, that’s not bad. My dog loved it, but was less enthused when we soaked and microwaved the last bit. It sounds a little scary when she’s chewing it because it cracks as she chews. I would buy these again.
