We have six cats and a dog, so weâve tried just about every type of water bowl out there. For a while, we used a large glass bowl and cleaned it several times a week, but keeping up with how much water they drank became a lot of work. We also tried an automatic water bowl, but the design of the one we had wasnât great. The way the water poured out didnât work for our petsâthey avoided drinking from it entirely. On top of that, mold tended to develop over time, even with regular cleaning, so it just wasnât a good fit for us.Enter this 3-gallon water bowlâor as we like to call it, the *water trough*! Itâs been an excellent solution. It eliminated the need for multiple bowls, and the stainless steel design makes it much easier to clean.One feature we really appreciate is that the faucet where the water pours out is tucked out of the way, allowing all the pets to drink comfortably, no matter their size or heightâeven the cats! Everyone seems to love it.Assembly was simple, but one thing to note: the area where the cord feeds through is sharp, and we accidentally stripped a little of the cordâs outer coating because we werenât paying attention. It didnât damage the cord itself, but itâs something to watch out for. The instructions come with a QR code linking to setup videos, which we didnât check because it seemed straightforward, but Iâd recommend looking at them to avoid any issues.If youâre wondering if it truly holds 3 gallonsâit absolutely does.
