Pros n Cons of Dog door.
Looks nice. Seems sturdy. Definitely need to go to hardware store. The fasteners came with the pet door didn’t do it for me. Used screw kit, came with drill bit, screws, and anchors. Screw size 10-1.5 length. This screw size is what I used. Make sure the screws fit properly through the holes. Inner space liner wasn’t long enough, the top and bottom. The sides a little long, can cut to size. Double flaps works to keep drafts down.Just be ready to get your animal used to the double flaps.

    Good product
This is a good product that unfortunately I cannot use. I’m returning it, but only because it’s large enough for the raccoons and possums that live in my very rural area to come inside my house. I should have checked the measurements more closely, but that’s on me. I didn’t install it, because I could see it wouldn’t work here. I had one around this size before, and occasionally possums or raccoons would get inside. My house is right beside a forest, and there’s lots of wildlife around. From just looking at it, it looked like a quality product. Sadly though, it won’t work for me.

Better for dogs not so much cats
I wish it was wider and. It as tall. The door flap kinda threw my cats off a little as well. Sometimes it wants to stick and it’s very stiff for them to push. But overall it’s a nice door just maybe not suited for smaller animals.

A few big flaws, but possibly better than the big name company
I am reviewing petcoming never rust dog door, large, which at the time of this review was 59.99. This is my 4th dog door installation, so I’m getting better at them. And also more frustrated with poor designs and how just a few minor changes could make for a perfect dog door. This particular door was actually installed on our laundry room door, which has an exterior door with another dog door. The idea was we could keep the laundry room door closed to reduce noise, but also to block cold air streaming in from the terribly designed exterior dog door.Overall installation on this one was pretty straightforward, though there are some issues. One thing to be aware of while installing is to make sure you’re leaving enough room below your cutout template so the bottom of the dog door frame doesn’t sit below the bottom of the door you’re attaching it too. If you just follow instructions and use your dog shoulder height, this could mess you up.Also, if you slide the inserts into one door panel BEFORE you mark/drill your screw holes it will align everything so it fits properly within the opening. If you follow the instructions and drill before using the inserts, you risk being slightly off and then the inserts won’t fit. So for a smoother install, perform steps in this order: G, J, K, L, M (tape around the outside of the inserts, not inside), N1, H, I, N2 and then proceed with the install.Another issue I have is there aren’t screw covers to hide the offcuts of the plastic threaded screws, so they poke out through the back of the door. I’ll need to remove these one by one, cut off some excess, and then put them back in, otherwise one side of your door will look like my third photo. The big issue I have is the magnets hanging from each flap. Though they are strong and make a solid connection, they slide left to right too easily, and can block the flap from opening or closing if they slide past the frame opening. This can basically lock your pet in/out, because you can’t push the flap through when the magnet is slid to one side and blocking it. See photo 3. I’ll have to cut about 1/2″ off each magnet, re-enter them on the flap, and then use a glue or something to keep them centered.Another issue is there is very little effort made for weatherization here, so if you live in a cold climate, expect a lot of drafts. I just don’t understand why no company makes a four flap door made with silicone, where there is are additional flaps with their centers cut out which mates against the inner flaps for perfect air sealing. And with silicone, there would never be an issue with the door getting stiff in cold temperatures. On the plus side, this door has a feature I’ve never seen; the edges of the flap have a hefty raised lip on both sides, which makes it significantly stiffer and more resistant to twisting. If you have any experience with dog doors, you know the flaps twist, especially when it’s cold and windy, and then they stay twisted and just won’t realign with the magnet and lock in place. This almost solves that issue.I also really like the all black look, it really is a nice looking pet door, even on an interior door. For 60 it’s not bad, but a few issues keep it from being a 4 or 5 star door in my opinion.

Adjustable frame for multiple installation scenarios
The Pet Door is well designed for our shed application. Currently, we house a Feral Cat and access is through a screen door we are replacing, this Pet Door allows us to install through Shed side panel and saves us from modifying a $400 screen door. The Pet door can be securely closed and has 2 flap panels to reduce wind penetration. The plastic frame is fully adjustable and durable for our shed installation.

Solid made, easy to install over existing old doggy door, and well insulated.
The title says it all really. Everything is pretty much ready to go and if your template matches an existing doggy door it’s easy to install. Our old one wore out between two large dogs going in and out all the time. Even if you don’t have a doggy door with a template and taking a wood door down (wouldn’t suggest with fiberglass or steel doors), mark and cut, and then install (screws) you are pretty much ready to go. We have worn out at least 4 doggy doors in the past 10 years will see how long this one lasts!
