Perfect for travel and home
I like this dog crate is the perfect size for traveling and at home use. Itâs sturdy as we have a jack russel who can get out of most plastic things. The design is great and was easy for me to assemble by myself.

Solid and sturdy, you have to really whack the latches closed, be sure to sand vent edges before use
I first want to note that I bought mine from Warehouse Deals for a significant discount (more than 50% off) for the 15-20lb storm grey carrier. Mine was listed as âUsed – Acceptable – Item has major cosmetic damages but is still usable. Item will come repackaged.â With this, you never know what youâre getting. Iâve seen broken/unusable, and Iâve seen like new… this one was like new! Score! It was repackaged but it had clearly never been put together. The screws and wing nuts were still sealed in their original container taped inside the lid. It had no major cosmetic damage, just some exterior manufacturing remnants on the bottom… I mean this is injection molded plastic, I cut a few off because I am a little OCD, but it was no biggie.I was thrilled for the price I paid. However, I would have been a little disappointed if I had paid full price. The carrier was not difficult to put together, just line it up, put the door in, give the latches a good solid whack, and screw in the screws and wing nuts (note, it came with one extra screw and wing nut which I appreciated). I suspect the latches are why mine was returned. This is key, these donât just snap in easy, you need to really whack them… this is great because I donât want loose, flimsy latches! If they are flush with carrier edges, they are NOT fully snapped on, see pic! This carrier is sturdy, fits together firmly and snugly. This was purchased to replace an older Petmate carrier to transport a 25 lb Maine Coon to the vet. (I know it says 15-20 lbs, but my boy prefers a snug carrier to feel secure and this is definitely large and sturdy enough to hold him without concern). It is a tad thinner than my old carrier of the same variety, but still more than adequate, no complaints.ONLY CON:The only thing I really did not like was something another reviewer mentioned: the interior of the vent holes was sharp. Many pets have anxiety in carriers, and move around or try to sniff the vent holes. My big boy could definitely cut his nose on those sharp vent edges. I took my dremel to them, lightly sanded and voila, problem solved in 5 minutes. If I had paid full price, I would have expected better quality control regarding safety for an item created specifically for pets. But, 5 stars. For what I paid, I am thrilled with my new carrier.

Used Often for Travel
I purchased this for my 20-pound Frenchton because I was tired of the collapsible wire crate. Although the collapsible one takes up less storage space, the ease of having this one on hand for overnight trips is worth it. This is durable and keeps my dog safe when staying other places while traveling.

Great dog crate, but still needs modifications for air travel.
As you’ll know from other reviewers, this crate is GIGANTIC! The video review is just four pictures of my dog sitting and lying down in it, it’s pretty short picture/slideshow/video.My dog is a male Rhodesian Ridgeback that’s 32″ tall and 42″ long, and he can fit comfortably in it. If I had a choice, I’d probably be content to fly inside that thing rather than in a cramped passenger seat, if only I could still go to the restroom and get some free drinks and some food. There’s some modifications you’ll need to do before air travelling with the crate (depending on the airline).1. You most likely will need to buy some 3/16″-24 metal wing nuts (15 of them, as you get 15 screws and 30 plastic wing nut fasteners that come with the crate), and use them instead of the plastic ones.2. You may need to drill some holes in the rear of the crate for rear ventilation (Alaska Airlines doesn’t need for you to do this).Otherwise, it’s pretty much ready. Some extras I got to go in the crate:Midwest Quiet Time Pet Bed (42″ by 26″) – It’s lightweight, and it fits perfectly with extra space around the edges (in case the dog needs to urinate, where it can get absorbed in the padding, and not the dog bed). While it’s thin, the bottom of the crate has some give, so it’s still pretty comfortable. Two Midwest Stainless Steel Snap’y Fit Water and Feed Bowl (1 Quart) – It’s nothing exciting, but large enough for our sized dog. Note that for Alaska Airlines, you will need two bowls for your pet.Nature’s Miracle Advanced Ultra Absorbent Pads for Pets (50 count) – In case he needs to go during air travel. There’s a lot of pads, and you will only need like 10 pads for this crate.Basically everything we’re looking for, but minus a star for how expensive it is, not having ventilation in the rear, and using plastic wing nut fasteners when almost all airlines now require rear ventilation and metal wing nuts.P.S. My dog is scared to death of thunderstorms, but now has his place to go hide in. He also likes to lay in it in the living room rather than a more comfortable dog bed that’s not in a crate.

A very good secure product at a very, very good price.
A very good price when compared elsewhere. This kennel has easy to use screw down co. Extorts to secure the top to the bottom unlike the snaps that I have seen on “comparable” models. That ,ea s that if you are transporting your dog while he or she is in the kennel, the bottom unit will not come a loose. Our Scottish Terrier loves his kennel.

Great animal carrier
Bought this to use as a vet carrier. This worked great. Easy to assemble and worked like a charm.

It works, but feels cheap
It feels really cheap and they don’t even bother to clear the mold lines off. Makes it hard to assemble when multiple bolt holes are full of excess plastic. After finally getting it put together by cleaning up the sloppy manufacturing, the whole carrier feels pretty cheap. It’s not nearly as robust as you’d need for an animal with any kind of weight to it. Luckily this was just to transport a cat, so it worked.

Perfect for the new Baby
He loves traveling in his kennel to the vet and back.

She’s a pretty small pug, but she started to outgrow her old kennel (she sleeps in our bedroom and is into anything given the chance,) but come bedtime, she walks right in and lets us know in the morning when she’s ready to get up. This particular unit allows her a lot of space to nest at night and recharge. Highly recommended, as it is durable for travel too.
