Customers say
Customers find the pet supplies effective at deterring pets from certain surfaces like couches and dining tables. They appreciate the different shock levels and beeping alerts that ensure humane behavioral correction. However, some customers feel the products are overpriced and not worth the money. Additionally, they report durability issues with the mats falling apart or wearing out quickly.

Peaceful house, happy pets.
I have a young cat and a dog, and leather furniture. Not a good combination. I put the mat on the leather sofa, and after only one encounter with the mat, the cat has stayed off the sofa. He has stopped using the sofa as part of his crazy kitty race track. He stays off even when the mat is not on the sofa.I bought a second mat for my bed to stop the dog vs cat wrestling matches that were occurring several times a day, damaging my heirloom quilts. Happy to say, both of the mats have worked great and my pets are no longer damaging my furniture. I also really like not being the bad guy scolding them about the furniture.

Works great!
Super simple setup. We didn’t read the instructions ahead of time so it was beeping a lot when we first set it up and I was worried we would have to return it. It seemed like the same complaint as other users have had. However, after reading and following the instructions exactly, it now works perfectly and we ordered a second one. Our dogs don’t touch the couch now. Totally worth it! ðð¼

Great product to limit accessibility of your pets
This is my 4th purchase of similar mat. My first purchase was the Petsafe older model. It works great. I decided to try different brands but none of them work as good as Petsafe. I found this newer model of Petsafe which is much more expensive. Since I had better experience with Petsafe brand I decided to purchase two newer model because I could not wait to block the new puppy making mess on my carpet. I saw the improvement on the newer model. They made the space between the electric current smaller. I think is great because my new puppy figures out how to navigate thru between lines since her paws are so small. I am not fan of the new control unit. Is much harder to read. The older model has a little light that indicares the device is on, the new one you really have to look, you need a flash light in order to read it if is dark. It looks nicer but not as practical as older model. Other brand has better design look and easier to use.I use all my mats on the floor to stop the dogs going to other rooms when we are not around. The little one can squeeze thru spaces of existing dog gate. I place the mate in front of the gate so she cannot cross. Also it avoids the dogs to stand up to lean on doors or gates and start pounding them hard. I am really pleased with the outcome.I only gave 4 star because is pricey and the control design is not as good as other brand, but from use practicality I would give it a 5.

Glad I purchased
I purchased this mat a month ago and itâs working wonderfully! We put it on our couch that was becoming our catâs rec area. On itâs lowest setting it only took one time to teach our cats to stay clear. The next time, as soon as they heard the beep, they immediately jumped off before getting shocked. Iâm very pleased that they now avoid our good couch and no longer scratch it up. The lowest setting wasnât enough to make our dog jump down, so if you want it to use with a dog, I think you would have to set it higher up. I didnât try going higher, so I canât speak for how it would work for that, but it works amazing at keeping our cats off things.

Work great
These mats work great. We have a 2 year old pit who sheds sooo much and it drives me insane. We were putting foldable tables in front of our sectional when we went out but her sneaky ass found a way to get up there. We set the mats down and she wonât go near them! Just the beeping makes her keep her distance. We even sit them in front of us while weâre eating so she doesnât stare at us and beg anymore. Definitely worth every cent. We donât even have to put them on anymore lol.

Doesn’t Last Very Long; Too Expensive for What It Is
I bought this one to anticipate having to replace the previous one I had. I had bought one before that an it did not last more than six to eight months. The next one (the one I bought this one to replace) also lasted about the same amount of time. Now this one has lasted a bit longer, but still less than one year.First, at some point, the things starts beeping incessantly and for no reason. You change the battery, reset the settings, and it still beeps. Eventually, it stops, but comes back intermittently.Second, it never unrolls completely. The tips and edges of the corners still stay up on the side where the controller is attached.Third, after about four to six months, the wires start to come detached from the mat, making it hard to clean, and if the wire breaks… that’s it, game over for the mat, unless you can manage to make some sort of electrical repair.Fourth, at some point, the controller no longer receives signals from the mat. When stepped on, no beep, no electricity, nothing. Finally, why are all the models the same price, even though some are larger than the others. Also, $55 seems a little high in price for such an item that probably cost less than $10 (I’m being liberal here) to manufacture. You can buy electric muscle stimulator medical devices that are far more advanced for 2/3 of the price of these things and they last 10x longer (I have one from 20 years ago and it still works).Oh, and one more thing. I doesn’t stay on. You have to constantly check it to make sure its still on, which is almost daily, and turn it back on because it resets itself (settings) and turns off.So my current one is at that last stage (fourth) I mentioned above. When I detach the controller, it seems to work on its own, but once I attach it to the mat, no go. I have tried to tape down some of the wires that have become detached from the mat but I fear there must be some sort of short circuit or break in the circuit. I have taken care of this produce as prescribed by the manufacturers instructions. It has been less than a year, let’s see if they honor their one-year warrantee.

Simple, effective, not cruel. I used this in my kitchen in front of my sink and counter. I have a very tall, very big (makes danes look short) ignorant dog that figured out he was tall enough to pillage and plunder my upper cabinets full of food. Also steals my kitchen sink plugs for some insane reason. So, my kitchen is a U Shape. I laid the mat on the floor 2 feet from my sink. Basically creating a no go zone. Because the mat has a shock counter on it, i know day 1 he hit that thing 4x. Day 2 he hit it 2x. Day 3 nothing. Day 4 1x. Nothing since. He’s figured out thats a no zone. The mat has 4 settings. Chime only, low, med, high zap. I only have it on chime now and he’s still not having anything to do with the mat or my kitchen cupboards/sink plugs. The highest setting more startles you in bare feet than it does actually shock. Like a static zap. Not anywhere near as powerful as a shock collar but the pads on dog feet are sensitive enough that it’s very effective. I would definitely say safe enough for cats as we have one of those too and he’s not going in the no zone either.100% recommend for an easy, safe, effective way to train your pet to stay out of an area, off a couch, or like my other dog, getting close enough to the tv to knock it off the stand.

It doesn’t do what it suppose to do, my cat started to walk over it quickly to avoid the shock and sometimes jumping iver it for fun or annoying me I don’t know

Couldnt be happier, after learning his lesson once, my cat has stopped going on the couch to pee every morning. Great value and works brilliantly
