One of our little dogs is sometimes a bit skittish in the car, but only if there is not a passenger in the car. The dog in question does not like to held at home, but wanted to be held in a car. It dawned on me that she wanted the security of being held steady, especially when the road was curvy.I saw this and thought, this might help her feel secure when nobody is in the car to hold her.Of course, she hated it. When we put her in, she popped up, ready to leave the little cocoon. With some soothing words and a few treat, well, a lot of treats, she decided she could endure this horrid punishment.She is a smart dog. I don’t think it will be long before she accepts this rather than tolerate it as something that will get her another treat. I noticed that she was already learning to lean against the side to brace in a turn.We ran out of time this evening, but I wanted to get this review in.The seat is a marvel of zippers. Out of the container, it looks like a small briefcase. Just a few clever zip ups, you have a soft box. There is a fabric mesh tip that can be zipped to main body of the seat to become a pet carrier. The straps used to hold this to the car seats beside it become the straps for the carrier. It has a silicone beaded bottom to keep it from slipping. here are two straps on the bottom to attach it to a door on a console. In our car, a Toyota Camry, I strapped it so we can still open the console.There is a detachable bowtie at the front that the dog can rest its head on and can serve to corral the dog in. There is also a short leash inside this seat to clip to the dog’s collar so it won’t be ejected during a sudden stop.The zippers can be maddening. Just be sure to work them slowly and don’t get anything trapped in them. Like part of the upholstery of the seat, your clothing, or even your flesh.We like the seat, and I think the dog will, too. If nothing else, it will be a great place to put carryout. My wife just did that after the first ride with our dog.I gave this 5 stars. We had considered a dog platform, which is a rubber coated board but I think this is a better idea.

Cute, pet car seat/carrier
The pet car seat is cute with the bone-shaped pillow on the front. I found it to be a little deep for small dogs, the sides come up quite high (again, speaking for small dogs, e.g. chihuahua). It can also be used as a pet carrier, which I find very convenient. However, it was a tad wide for my car; it’s important to mention that it’s a small 4-door sedan. The setup is simple and easy. Here’s where I can see some improvement: don’t make the seat so wide, and include a removable center piece so little dogs can sit a bit higher.

Perfect booster seat for our Benni!!!
The PetsHome Console Dog Car Seat for Small Dogs is perfect for our Benni, who is a 13lb Dachshund/Yorkie mix. He loves the fact that it sits him high enough to be able to see out of the windshield. This booster seat is of premium quality. The outside is a sleek leather and looks very nice siting on the console. The inside is very comfortably made with a velvety covering, and the little pillow shaped like a doggy bone, snaps perfectly on the front of the seat with a choice of a higher or lower setting. I really like that the seat is buckled in and is sturdy enough that when making a turn or going over bumps little Benni is secured enough that he doesn’t lose footing or slide around on the seat. He is safe and secure. Benni enjoys the scenery for a while and when ready to relax he lays his little head on the pillow and crashes out for a peaceful nap. The seat is very easy to assemble, and installation is a breeze. We haven’t used it as a pet carrier as of yet, mainly because Benni enjoys walking when we go out, but I have no doubt that it will fulfill this use as swell if/when needed. I am very satisfied with this doggy booster seat and will recommend it to all of my friends with small pets. Benni gives it 5 stars and so do I.

My dog loves it!
I have a small toy poodle, she is 7.5 lbs and about 11 inches long. This fits her perfectly! This is very comfortable and padded! It has a wonderfully, soft and plush, memory foam material. The memory foam material is lined along the bottom and the sides, inside. I take my dog and toddler to visit grandparents every few months and the drive is about 6 hours one way. The pup is very comfortable and behaves well for these road trips in her other car carrier, but itâs not like this one and sheâs gotten a little too long for it I think. The old one is not soft at all itâs just thin single walls of fabric so this one is a huge upgrade for her. She jumped in this and was all smiles in her new carrier. This was very simple to install in my car as well. It was solid, it didnât move at all once it was installed in my car. The only thing I could say they could do to improve this in any way is to add a zipper pocket on the side to store dog treats and doggy bags. the little side pockets it does have are just too small and are open so things can fall out of it. It doesnât change my opinion on this though this is the safest yet still extremely comfortable travel carrier for car travel Iâve found for my little one.

Hard to put together
so…this has to be the toughest pet product I have put together. The material is honestly amazing so high quality and feels like real leather! I was impressed. Yet, it’s hard to pull the zippers together and I’m realizing this may not fit my cat then again I may have to recruit my husband to help. It arrived and the leather is a bit squished so I laid it out over night flat to stretch out. I do hope to use this for my cat’s vet appointment and i truly do love this bag design, shape and quality. It’s so plush and heavy duty. I want to be able to use it.
