Good for GoPro work, less so as a walking harness
I was very happy to see this because I did not want to try and make my own DIY GoPro harness! It juuuust fits my 74 lb dog who is above the weight range but right at the measurements for chest circumference. We tested it out playing ball in the yard, then took it to a dock jump to see how it works in the water, which was my main purpose in getting it. The harness performed well. GoPro stayed in place, harness stayed on the dog, two thumbs up there.There is some padding in the chest and back for comfort, and with it being primarily nylon, I don’t expect it to stretch over time. As far as sturdiness, I probably wouldn’t clip a leash to this if you’ve got a bigger or rowdy dog, partly because all the hardware except the O-ring on the chest are plastic. There’s a stitched-in handle on the back, but again, not something I’d trust to hang on to if my dog got excited and started to pull. My suggestion would be to use a backup harness underneath, or a collar, so all this harness has to do is hold your GoPro.For the purpose I bought this harness for — to put a GoPro on my dog for sporting events — it does the job very well. I haven’t subjected it to a slug of abuse, and I probably wouldn’t expect a ton of longevity if I did, but in this capacity it does it’s job.

Our dog kept choking herself when we would take her for walks around the block. With this harness she is free to walk and pull as much as she wants without choking herself.It is super visible at night which is a plus! The product came with service animal patches if you desire that feature.We have a chih tzu and the small was perfect for her. We just had to snug up the straps to hug her body nicely.She took to the new harness nicely and grew to like it after the second walk. At first she was scared of the harness but after her walk she became comfortable.

Great Harness for dogs 40-90 lbs. GoPro mount needs much stronger stitching. It’s pulling out.
This harness has some great things. I bought two and have strapped them to a pug, 4-5 large labs, pit bull mixes, Wheaten terrier, Aussie’s, a corgi, basset hounds, and a mini poodle. It’s a pain in the butt to adjust the straps, but once adjusted it fits snug as you need it to for the Gopro and has attachment rings at the chest and on the center of the back behind the Gopro, just where you would want them.There is a handle just behind the leash loop on the back, which is super convenient. I like the color combo with the yellow, black, red, and gray also.I think this is probably the best GoPro harness out there. I actually was about to purchase a third one so that I could leave each one permanently adjusted for three different sizes.Then I noticed my camera flopping on the back of a dog and saw how close I was to losing the GoPro.Rather than sending the harnesses back for another one that will do the same thing, I think I’ll see if I can have a tailor beef up the stitching for me. Then it would be worth keeping.The only other improvements I’d like to see is a swivel mount for those who don’t have a 360 camera. The screw to tighten the GoPro to the mount is tough to tighten. You really have to crank it super tight to get it to hold the camera tightly, but even then you’re still probably going to have to keep checking every 5 minutes or so and reposition the camera back to the correct angle if you run a dog for any reasonable amount of time.A great shot is from the back of the dog’s back, back at yourself. This requires unscrewing the camera, flipping the camera from front to back, then tightening the screw again. A swivel mount would resolve this without having to remove the camera from the mount.There is no need for a Gopro mount on the chest as that footage is always horrible since a dog’s peck muscles make the camera repeatedly swing and face left then right, left then right…. It’s miserable to watch. You’re better to hold the camera low to the ground on a selfie stick yourself to get that shot and cut in post edit to it as if you’re the dog.You’ll get better shots over the head with scent hounds who keep their heads low to the ground, but you can still get some good shots with sight hounds. The higher the camera is mounted the better clearance over the ears, but you lose stability and get much more camera swing.A MUST HAVE for mounting a Gopro to a dog harness is at least a Hero9 with a MAX LENS MOD. It shoots wider and therefore can crop in to the center of the footage better to GREATLY stabilize the shaky footage and make it possible to watch a dog running even at high speed.If that doesn’t matter to you then get a non-gopro harness instead of this one. This is still the best GoPro harness I’ve seen and tried even though you’re going to eventually lose a camera if you don’t reinforce the mounts connection to the harness.

I only used it once during a 3 week trip. After viewing the footage (after the trip was over) I wished I had used it more. Gave a great second view (a dogs view) of the interesting places we stopped at. It was secure, my girl doesn’t like wearing extra things like this, but you could tell this one didn’t bother her.

Doesnât hold the GoPro upright
I have tried this on a border collie and a pitbull and it didnât hold the GoPro steady at all. It would slip down the side of the dog and make for useless footage. The smaller dog, you couldnât even see over her head, and using the extension piece it comes with made it even more top heavy and unsteady. Donât buy this, just get the GoPro certified one if you want usable footage

On the whole, I am satisfied with it
It’s very soft and comfortable small, it’s a good seat belt, and it’s a good lightweight seat belt, my dog actually likes it!The quality is very good. The color is great, and it really shows on my white and black dogs. The camera’s locking mechanism looks solid, although I don’t have a camera to try, and the harness includes a small handle for holding dogs and a leash on the back of the camera.On the whole, I am satisfied with it

Not for heavy duty use
I purchased this to be used mostly while upland bird hunting after trying multiple harnesses and mounts on my dog. I felt like this harness would fit my needs. Unfortunately something I hadn’t thought of happened, while we were moving through a corn field the sewing was ripped off the camera mount allowing the go pro to fall off. Because the dog was ahead of me and not being sure where it happened I was unable to recover my camera even after using the find my camera options. If you plan on using this off trail you may want to find another option.
