Perfect for at home monitoring
After doing extensive research and seeing the negative reviews for all of the less expensive BP monitor products, I decided to invest in this higher quality, vet level product. I was not disappointed. This product is worth every penny. Not only is it very simple/easy to use, the ability to be able to monitor my cat’s blood pressure at home vs stressing him out going to the vet each week, is priceless. The #3 cuff is the best fit for my cat’s arm. I took him to the vet before this order arrived and they used a larger, more expensive monitor, and it was inaccurate, difficult & cumbersome to operate. In general, taking multiple readings for accuracy no matter what you are using is helpful & common. SunTech has excellent videos on youtube showing how best to take the blood pressure. I take 3 readings each time to get a good average, which has worked great so far. Feeding treats during the testing also helps to keep my cat from getting too restless. This machine is really a lifesaver, I highly recommend it.

Highly inaccurate
This costs a fortune so you would expect it to work as expected, but NO. I had a mobile vet come over my house, so they can take my dog’s BP when she’s in a more comfortable environment. I compared their reading to this one and it’s highly inaccurate. With the SunTech, my dog’s BP is quite low – in the 90s, which is quite alarming! But with the vet’s professional device, it’s in the 120s. This product is not worth the investment. It will only cause you anxiety. Plus, their support team takes forever to respond.

You get what you pay for.
I have two senior kitties with high blood pressure. It doesnât make sense to keep taking them to the vet – which causes blood pressure spikes – to get their blood pressure checked to make sure their medication is working. Iâve tried two other, much cheaper, home pet BP monitors, and they didnât work well at all. Also, my vet said that Mean Arterial Pressure is an important reading, but the cheaper monitors didnât measure MAP. So, I decided to splash out on this veterinary clinic quality monitor. I do not regret it. The SunTech takes consistent measurements, is super quiet, and I love that it calculates averages for you. This was well worth the cost for our multi-cat household.

GOOD MACHINE BUT NO SUPPORT
This is an excellent machine to measure your dog or cats BP. Pricy, yes. But here is the issue: Try and reorder replacement cuffs and you’ll have a heyday! We need #2 cuffs. Amazon has them at 12.25 each!! Wow. Vet supply stores will not sell you them unless you are a licensed vet. Would have been nice if a generic type were available.

Poor value, too expensive
Poor value for the price. Does not record transaction date or time. Does not have PC connectivity or data transfer capability. Does not have any reporting capability. Even if you pay more for the next model it has limited capability, such as, the app does not retain data for later recall. This product traps you into using their proprietary cuffs which are disposable, then charge a hefty price for replacements.

For home use (not a veterinarian), you may need some information from your vet.
I bought this product after reading about various monitors and deciding this one appeared to be the best. I bought it to be able to measure our geriatric cat’s blood pressure at home. She had a stroke and to help her urinate more easily, my vet recommended a med that can lower blood pressure. Since she also has kidney dysfunction, not a good thing. So wanted to use the monitor to determine her home blood pressure before starting med, then monitor it while she’s on med. The monitor, blood pressure cuff, various attachments are all easily used. The User’s Manual tells you everything you need to know to use the monitor/connect various items/etc. Only pieces of information I needed from my vet to use the monitor and get an accurate reading was (1) where the main leg artery is (cuff is positioned based on artery and User’s Manual intended for vets doesn’t identify where the artery is of course) and (2) my cat wouldn’t keep her leg still so needed to know if I could hold the leg at some point where it wouldn’t effect the blood pressure result. This would be an excellent monitor for a veterinarian clinic and for those people who are willing to spend the money and need to be able to measure their pet’s blood pressure at home. Note the “package” purchase I made includes the 6 different size cuffs (for our cat, smallest was appropriate cuff) and the ac adapter. I didn’t read the Amazon listing well enough and didn’t think the cuffs came with the monitor so I bought them separately and then returned them as “bought by mistake”. Amazon, as always, made it extremely easy to return the cuffs and receive my refund.

Accurate and easy to use. …Highly Recommend this blood pressure monitor for pets
This blood pressure monitor works great . I am so grateful to find one like the vets use to use here at home. Our shih tzu’s ophthalmologist diagnosed her with high blood pressure that caused her retinas to detach. After he gave her bp meds, I wanted to keep up with her blood pressure mainly to make sure it didn’t drop too low, since we live far from emergency vet care. We use the #3 cuff and it fits perfectly. I find it is easier to place it around the base of her tail. I highly recommend this monitor, especially if you have an older pet or pets with health problems.

Tested against multiple vet office units and produced the same results.
We care for a lot of animals. After a while, they tend to get old and have many have cardiac issues. To avoid having to stress them by driving them to a vet for a blood pressure measurement (where it is always elevated due to stress) we decided to get a unit to take the measurements at home. But before relying on the measurements we would take the unit with us to the vet for a comparison to the veterinarian’s measurement. We tried this with both dogs, cats, and rabbits and the SunTech produced the same readings. We now use it before any vet visits to provide the vet with an accurate at home (relaxed animal) blood pressure reading. And any time one of our cardiac pets is feeling punk it helps us decide if a vet visit is needed. We bought the pink so it would be easier to find when stored on a shelf, but they also make a blue one.
