I was skeptical…
I didn’t have high hopes for these stairs, as I knew they’d have to be used for the rear side doors of an oddly proportioned vehicle (04 Outlander, the ground clearance of a full-sized crossover with the cabin size of a compact crossover). Sure enough, the rear side doors do not open far enough. But it does just barely fit through the front side doors. I had to fiddle around to find the right angle for stability, but it was solid as a rock after a little trial and error. Now, even though my car has good ground clearance, the seats/step-in are very low, so at full height the stairs still need to be tipped back at a slight angle to not be higher than the seat itself; it’s still completely solid even at that weird learned back angle though. My girl took to it IMMEDIATELY. I used some treats for positive reinforcement, but she really didn’t need any convincing. She hasn’t been able to get in and out of the car on her own for a couple years now, although she’s always eager to hop in. Once there was a sturdy and stable way for her to enter the vehicle, she had no qualms making use of it. My baby has two types of cancer, chronic lameness in one of her legs, severe arthritis, and long nails because her quicks grow too fast for anyone to shorten them. She’s prone to slipping and a single bad slip could spell the end for her. Speaking of which, the padded faux grass is fantastic and offered her more than ample grip.It was an anxiety attack to wrestle her like a hog and lift her into and out of the car (she hates being picked up, it probably hurts her). Even though the stairs can’t lead her directly into the rear doors, it’s not too much of a bother to just lean a front seat all the way back and let her walk over the center console into the back. For reference, she’s about 66lbs.The stairs fold and unfold easily enough (just watch your fingers), and feel very solidly constructed. They’re quick and easy to set up, weigh a little more than I expected – but not a ton, and obviously get the job done great. If I had one criticism or point of concern, it’s that the unit I received seemed slightly used. There was some dirt and smudges on it, which I don’t appreciate. As I needed the stairs immediately, I tried them out before requesting a replacement. So while I’ll keep this unit, I’m not thrilled to have received what I believe is a repackaged item.If anything goes wrong with them, I’ll be sure to update.Synopsis: works well for a larger dog with serious mobility concerns, feels stupidly constructed, not very light but also not too heavy, easy to use and store, can be creatively positioned for odd use cases, you might get a refurb when buying new.All in all, I’ve nothing else negative to mention. I would confidently recommend these stairs – especially at the price compared to comparable ones.

Awesome for my big GSD!!!
These are great for my GSD. He’s a big boy and it was really hard for me to load him into my truck since it’s a bit lifted, so I bought these and they are AWESOME!! I got the wide ones with the fake grass and they’re great, he doesn’t slip and they are wide enough that he’s not going to fall off the side of them. They support all his body weight and did not move when he jumped up on them. They fold nicely and even have a handle making it easier to take them places and also to store them. No assembly, everything was together when I opened the box. I love these!!!

4 step seems perfect for bed/car access
Received the four step and the five step but kept the former. Seems stable and fits the car better than the five step. Will take some getting used to but I liked the ease of opening and setting up, and the turf on the steps which should keep my dog from slipping. Somewhat wish they were a bit wider but then if they were, it wouldnât fit my car properly. Thought the price was fair and the quality seems good and hopefully these will work and last for a while. Also impressed with a three year warranty! for which I easily registered.

Good Product with Design Issues
These steps are plenty sturdy for our 80 lb dog, except for one thing. They have little “wings” half way up the stairway to help with folding them. Watch those wings because they want to bend out of position. A second issue is that if your truck door doesn’t open wide enough, it can be difficult, maybe impossible, to position the steps into the open doorway. One of its arms extending from the back of the top step that are to rest on your vehicle may not reach it due to the angle you have to put the steps. In that position the steps are NOT sturdy. Veehoo customer support is very good, though, and I would buy from them again.

Works well
I saw a review that these were ideal to get an overweight Husky in a Tundra and it works great to get our older Husky mix into our Tundra. Easy to use and folds up to store behind the seat without taking up much room. Has saved my husband’s back.

Great company
When i ordered this, I didn’t know this was made by the same company who makes Archie’s outdoor dog bed which has lasted a few years through all 4 seasons so far.The quality is about as good as it gets for an Amazon product without overpaying. 3yr warranty included. The 5 step grassy tread should reach perfectly for the truck (tacoma) passenger door height. I do not see 5 steps working out for a much lower rise because these work best, and maybe only, when fully extended. The only slightly variable is the incline which still has its limits if you want your dog to trust a disappearing and reappearing jig.On the car side, there’s even nylon webbing with a caribener to clip on to something for extra security if needed. Not the lightest set up but my dog probably wouldn’t trust hearing the hollow reverb on anything lighter. He is known to hit his breaks on aluminum floating docks but the grass helps dampen any trepidatious sounds.

Broken first use
First time I used it, the strap that connects to the car broke right off. Rivet, and all.
