Sturdy Gate for Energetic Dogs – Highly Recommend
I recently adopted a deaf dog and my wooden child gates didn’t slow him down in getting out of my kitchen (and into my bedroom)! I hoped that a better gate system would solve the problem and this one absolutely did the trick. I needed the gate to be at the far edge of a 48″ cased opening and the photos showed it always in the middle, but the design of having multiple small sections permitted excellent customization so the gate is exactly where I need it. The fact it swings in both directions is also very helpful and while I thought the height was maybe “too high” I now realize that helps discourage my energetic boy from even trying to scale it. I hear a few bangs on it now, but he gives up pretty quickly. It is solid; installation (2 people) was relatively easy and solid just using pressure (hardware was provided for permanent install but not needed). I only need this overnight and when I leave so the latch system works great, but it may not be as easy if you have to repeatedly go in and out but it is sturdy and a God send. I highly recommend. And to get it quickly, I ordered a “pre-owned” that said “good condition”. It was in original box (seemed to have been opened) but all parts were in original plastic bags etc. Great value!

Needed a gate to keep my dogs and cats separated, without cats being able to jump it or dogs push it down. This is high enough that my cats canât get over, while being sturdy enough with just the pressure point installment. Adjustable screws with rubber stoppers help keep it in place with pressure. It also has the option to install more permanently and securely in the wall/door frame if preferred.We use it near stairs, so itâs very handy to be able to open it swinging in or out. The latch isnât quite as âself closingâ as advertised, but itâs not hard to lift the latch and get the gate shut. This isnât a solid steel heavy duty gate, but for most home uses it will get the job done. I would definitely buy again if needed.

Great gate!
I love how wide the opening to the gate is which makes it a lot easier for me to walk into the other room, compared to other gates where thereâs only about 2 feet to walk through. My little dog didnât like walking through the smaller pet holes in other gates, so the fact that you can raise the door on this one to have a little bit higher door worked out perfect for us. The gate is very sturdy, very durable, and easy to work with. I highly recommend. I absolutely love it.

Very useful to protect our cat private area from our German Shepherd and border Collie. It resisted a repeated try from the dogs!

Noisy, doesn’t self latch
I bought this to separate dogs, cats and toddler and still be able to have air circulation and line of sight. The animals do not jump it. This gate may be self closing if installed just right but it is NOT self locking. The latch lifts easily. There is a mechanism to manually flip down above the latch which blocks animal or child from accidently hitting and lifting the latch to open the gate. A smart child would be able to potentially open that. It is noisy when opening and closing. Sounds tinny to me and rattles like each of the bars are loose but they don’t appear to be. It works. I’m disappointed it doesn’t self latch which makes it a pain to use on a doorway you use all the time. My other dislike is the latch assembly is a little higher than a door knob which causes me to hit my elbow on it periodically. I’m 5’7″ to put that into perspective.

Perfect solution
We have an attached insulated garage that we sometimes cool in the summer with HVAC from the house by leaving kitchen door open, but we have two cats we want to keep out of the garage. This gate works perfectly. It’s tall enough they are even interested in trying to get past. Very solid and simple to install and use.

BEWARE Paid for new but got used!
This gate is really nice easy to open, tall and good quality so my 2 persian cats don’t tear each other apart but after setting up and inspecting I noticed it’s dirty in a lot of spots and marked up like it’s been chewed on or hammered. Very disappointed I paid for a new item but got a used one and customer service is limited on options available for me. BEWARE before purchasing!!

This was easy to install and has made life easier with two kittens. They can jump it and I can keep them out of rooms they should not go in. Very sturdy.
